Thor plummeted, but landed on his feet. He assumed his battle stance once more, holding his hammer like a samurai with a katana. Thor began another charge, closing the gap between he and Godzilla. But Thor's plan was to keep a moderate distance between the two, so that he could respond to most anything.
As he closed the gap, Thor charged Mjolnir with photon energy and launched it at Godzilla. Thor himself slid by Godzilla, but Mojolnir was guided directly at Godzilla's chest.

Godzilla jumped out of the way, dodging the hammer as it soared through the air. It slammed into the side of a large, ornate building with an explosion of dust and debris. Now was his chance- with the hammer out of Thor's hands, the robot would surely be an easier target. So far all the attacks the mech had used relied on Mjolnir, without it he was sure to be less of a threat.
Godzilla blitzed, slamming his shoulder into the robot and shoving it backwards. Godzilla immediately let loose with a stream of nuclear rage, blasting Thor and finishing up a nasty two hit combo on the giant robot. The heat beam shoved Thor back further, putting more distance between the two monsters, and even more distance between Thor and Mjolnir.

"Target enraged. Preparing all-out assault."
Tor regained his composure from that last attack. But he had his own plan up his sleeve. Thor positioned right arm over his left arm, which was pointed at Godzilla. Photon energy surged through his body, and an energy beam fired off from his left palm. The crackling blue blue energy beam, while not as powerful as Mjolnir's, impact against Godzilla, keeping the creature at bay.
All the while, by using his right hand, Thor was recalling Mjolnir back to him. But as he did, he altered the hammer's course, as it still flew by Godzilla on its way back. At it did, the remaining energy in the hammer fired off in the form of energy bolts. The photon bolts rained down on godzilla as Mjolnir returned to Thor's hand and power cable.

Electrical energy sparked all around, but Godzilla snarled and shook off the stinging particles. It would take a lot more than that to defeat Gojira.
Amidsts the blasts, Godzilla unleashed a concentrated beam of azure hell, aiming at Thor's hand. The blast exloded against the mech's fist, throwing Mjolnir from his grip. Godzilla charged again, wild eyed and ferocious. He stomped his feet down hard just before the impact and thrust out with his head, sending all the kinetic energy upwards. Godzilla's rock hard skull plate slammed into Thor's face, denting metal and throwing the robot down to the ground on it's back. Godzilla threw back and his and roared to the sky in a display of dominance and awaited his mechanical enemies next move.

In one swift movement, Thor recalled Mjolnir and leaped upwards at Godzilla. He tackled into the radioactive behemoth and took the monster down. He planted a metal foot into the creature's maw, no doubt cracking out some teeth. Following up, he lashed out with Mjolnir. Blow after blow, he hit Godzilla with the metal hammer. Hits landed everywhere, but mostly on the upped body. Realizing Godzilla could counter attack, Thor jumped backwards away from Godzilla. he waited for the sprawling enemy to rise.

Godzilla rose as suddenly and as explosively as an erupting volcano, his thunderous roar shaking the earth beneath Thor's feet, blood trickling down from his mouth. He stomped towards Thor, dorsal spines tall and crackling with energy. Godzilla reached out, grabbing Thor's head by the horns. Godzilla pulled Thor's face in close and then smashed it away with another headbutt, sending the robot reeling back. Godzilla pressed the attack, charging towards thor, leaving a trail of dust in his wake. Godzilla rammed into the norse robot god with tremendous force, throwing him off his feet and flying backwards. As the robot fell to the earth, it landed on the Arc de Triomphe, crushing the famous landmark into a pile of rubble.

Thor rose from the rubble, pieces of the Arc falling off his body. He was now a good distance from Godzilla. It was time for Thor to use Mojolnir's most powerful weapon. Thor rose Mjolnir into the air, like Alexander wielding Excalibur. On his back, the generator Idun began pumping as much photon energy as possible into Mjolnir. Thor then pointed the hammer of the gods at Godzilla. On the head of it, a small port opened. Energy sparked around the hammer.
Then, there was a blinding flash of light. A massive, blue energy beam erupted from Mjolnir. The beam shot straight at Godzilla, and hit the creature with the force of an angry Odin. It sent the saurian flying across Paris.
As the beam dissipated, Thor's body smoked. The use of the massive attack had drained Idun mostly. It would take a couple minutes for it to recharge to a good level.

Godzilla lifted his head and growled, shaking debris off his snout. He got up, shaking debris off like a wet dog. Thin wisps of smoke wafted off Godzilla's hide as he righted himself and faced down his foe- who was also smoking. He wasn't smoking before the beam attack... interesting. Very interesting.
Godzilla took a defiant step forward and roared loudly, egging Thor on, daring him to lash out with another searing hot blast of energy...

Thor stopped smoking. Idun was charged well enough to operate. By now, the sun was setting. The two opponents stood at distance from one another. It was like some old Western duel. Each one was waiting for the other to strike.
Thor charged Mjolnir, just in case...

The blazing red sun settled over the horizon going into stark contrast with the silhouette of the eiffel tower. Godzilla's fins gave off a faint glow, as did the surging energy around Mjolnir. The calm before the storm...
Without warning, Godzilla blitzkrieged. Slamming his upper shoulders into Thor's torso and heaving upwards, Godzilla hurled the heavy robot over his back. Spinning around, Godzilla unleashed his nuclear breath weapon, blasting Thor in midair and rocket-propelling him through the air. Trailing blue flames and smoke, Thor shot through the sky, and into the nearest tall object. The city's beloved landmark. Thor slammed into the side of the Eiffel Tower headfirst.

Thor pulled himself from the iron tower. Sparks sputtered from his face. But Thor still had more fight in him.
Jumping off the tower, Thor activated his jet boosters to full speed. He rocketed back at Godzilla and hit him with the strength of a meteor. Thor then grabbed the lizard and began flying right back to the Eiffel Tower. All the while, he was shooting off bolt after bolt of photon energy from his arc caster on Mjolnir. As they finally neared the tower, Thor effectively released Godzilla, and then hammered him into the structure. Metal twisted under the monster's weight as Godzilla crashed through it. Thor remained in the air.

Godzilla roared furiously, pawing at the metal bars that bent and twisted around him. The tower moaned and screeched, it's top swaying back and forth wildly as it collapsed on the monster king. Godzilla planted his hands down on two of the outter support beams, snarled, and shoved the top of the wobbly structure away- the leaning metal tower plummeted, smacking into Thor and swatting him out of the sky like a fly. The structure fell to the ground, pinning Thor down under it.

Thor fired off his palm cannon, eating through the metal like a hot knife through butter. He removed himself from the toppled tower, and then fired off an energy beam from Mjolnir at Godzilla. the beam hit him square in the shoulder.

Godzilla snarled, his shoulder jerking backwards from the impact. He let out a retaliatory beam of his own, firing his death-breath at Thor's head. It hit it's mark with an explosion of sparks and blue flame.

The smoke cleared and part of Thor's face had been eaten away. Besides the exposed wire and sparks, a set-in-stone face looked out at Godzilla. Thor's eyes were set in a never moving glare. And Thor knew that with the use of Mjolnir's strongest attack and Idun only at minimal working levels, this battle would have to end quickly.
Thor's jet boosters rocketed him forward at Godzilla. Charging Mjolnir with photon energy, he slammed the hammer into Godzilla's maw, with the force of ten thousand storms.
