NSG is too dazed to prevent the attack, and the energy blades plunge into his torso. The shooting pain quickly snaps him back to his senses though, as his eyes snap open and he lets out a roar of agony. In doing so, though, this allows him to see the absolutely beautiful opening Riptide has left.
NSG's maw opens, and a Corona beam lances forth and into the hole in Riptide's chest, tearing into the machine's inner workings once again. The Plasma blades flicker and fade, and Riptide recoils, smoke and sparks erupting from his chest.
NSG slowly rises to his feet, then attempts to sweep his stunned opponent's legs out from under it.

Riptide's connectionw ith his own booster rockets isn't as badly damaged as NSG woudl probably like right about now, which allows him to quickly jet up and out of the way of the incoming tail. However, he comes down almost as quickly, smashing one of his feet into NSG's skull, putting the entire 120,000 ton weight of the machine on NSG's neck. The monster's head snaps forward as he is driven to the ground.
Riptide lands beside him and grabs the back of the space beast's head, the titanium claws digging into the flesh, as the other hand rears back, Delta Blades gleaming in the light of the rising sun, as Riptide prepares to drive them into the space between NSG's neck and shoulder...

However, Riptide's attack is halted when he is gripped in a Gravity Tornado. The mech is pulled away from NSG, who gets to his feet and grabs his opponent's neck with his clawed hand. With a roar of fury, he takes to the air, Riptide in tow. He flies low, lifts Riptide up, then chokeslams the machine into the ground. He doesn't release his opponent, though. Instead he holds it against the ground with all his might while continuing to fly forward. After several seconds, he finally releases his grip, allowing Riptide to skid to a halt at the end of a nearly mile-long trench.
With that, NSG decides to chuck a few crystals at his downed foe.

A lesser warrior would have been knocked senseless or probably killed by tat last attack, but Riptide was a machine, and the damage had been relegated to the less sensitive booster engines and wings. While flight would be impossible for some time, his energy supplies still worked, and as such, he had access to his most powerful defensive maneuver. His arms cam up in front of him and several crystals slammed into them at high speeds, shattering and sparying the area in shrapnel. The barriers flickered and died though from overload, and a few crystals managed to find their marks, albeit slamming into Riptide's arms instead of his torso.
The machine pulled itself to a standing position as the Delta Blades slung forward and fused into single blades, which Riptide promptly slammed into Neo-Spacegodzilla's thighs. Jets of blood issued forth from the gashes in Neo-Spacegodzilla's legs as Riptide pulled back and plunged again for several more times. More blood and gore sprayed as Neo-Spacegodzilla buckled under the furious assault. Finally, the blades retracted, and Riptide prepared to make his final assault.
A familiar blue glow returned to his maw as Riptide charged the Super NOVA, aiming directly at Neo-Spacegodzilla's face at point blank range...

Just as Riptide unleashes the Super NOVA, his mouth is slammed shut by a telekinetic grip, courtesy of NSG. The attack detonates inside Riptide's mouth, doing all sorts of gruesome damage to his head.
NSG releases Riptide from his grip, allowing the machine to fall to the ground. He slowly stands up, his legs on the verge of giving out on him. With a roar, he positions a crystal over Riptide's head, prepared to deliver the finishing blow.

Ouch...pretty damn nasty fight here, and even harder for me to select. So, to justify my choices, I’ve listed the major pains each combatant has suffered, and bolded the really big ones that helped me make my choice.
OR = Riptide Smashed in the side of the head with a crystal Hit with an armor-cracking barrage of...crystals Had a mass of crystals smash into its innards Whacked with a tail “Innards” grabbed, shocked from there Bashed with a crystal missile Smashed with a barrage of crystals that makes a giant explosion and leaves a crater behind, too Whacked with a tail again Blasted in the “innards” with a Corona Beam Crystal explodes in face Blasted in the “innards” once more Makes a trench in the ground Beam detonated in head
IR = Neo-SpaceGodzilla Beamed up pretty dang badly Plasma beamed some more Blasted even more Smashed through the ground Face stomped into the ground, with something potentially damaged Stabbed Stabbed some more Smashed into the ground and leaving a rather large crater Stabbed even more, and shocked too Blasted with three beams simultaneously Batted to hell and back with a crystal Makes another crater at Mach 3 Stabbed in the legs. A lot.
All right...very hard decision here. IR tossed in some pretty damn devastating attacks on Riptide, including many directed at the mech’s inner workings, but then, in contrast, some of his attacks were rather negligible compared to the overall carnage going on. On the other hand, OR actually tossed in a few more attacks that might have proved slightly more effective, but didn’t actually pull out as many devastating attacks as IR did. That may or may not be because that while SpaceGoji was organic, and Riptide a mech, thus giving the former some more chances to smash the latter up...but, when it comes to the end, I’ve gotta give it to Inferno Rodan, if only for doing more internal damages. It was pretty much even the rest of the way. Good match, folks.

Ah well...
I was hoping for at least a tie. Still, it's not bad, all things considered. NSG was whooping up on me for the most part in that first RP battle of ours too. Congrats and all that jazz.

Neo-Spacegodzilla stares down at his nemesis, the crystal poised above its head in preparation to finish it off for good. But NSG pauses. Suddenly, the crystal is lazily flung off to the side, falling harmlessly to the ground a hundred or so meters away. A grin slowly creeps across Neo-Spacegodzilla's maw. He hovers off the ground, turns around, and flies off, leaving Riptide behind, broken, battered, and beaten, but alive.
----------
Bah, I couldn't finish off such a worthy adversary and NSG's arch-nemesis. It just wouldn't be right, especially after such a battle.
