In what seemed like an ironic twist of fate, Riptide was brought back to his first battleground to battle an old foe, which was also ironically his first. RADAR had detected Neo-Spacegodzilla rapidly approaching the city. But this time, Riptide was ready for him. It was still undoubtedly going to be close though, much like last time. Riptide's thrusters cut off as the massive machine landed in the middle of the city, a cloud of dust settling around him...

Neo-Spacegodzilla flies toward the city of Los Angeles. He's in his normal form as opposed to his flying form as one might expect. He is flying just above the surface of the water, his great speed causing it to spray out to the sides as he passes by.
A smile creeps across Neo-Spacegodzilla's face as he grows ever-closer to the city. He knows what is waiting for him there. With a burst of psychic power that sends an explosion of water into the air, Neo-Spacegodzilla accelerates and climbs into to sky. His body begins to glow with energy until he appears as a glowing ball.
In the city, Riptide's sensors pick up the energy spike, and the machine turns to face it. Within seconds, Neo-Spacegodzilla slams into the ground. The usual destruction of property ensues, and Neo-Spacegodzilla emerges from the plume of smoke. He roars and stares down his opponent, the only light in the area being from his forest of crystals.
Neo-Spacegodzilla lets out another roar as he draws energy into his shoulder crystals. Their last encounter ended in a draw. This time would be different.

Somewhere else in the city far enough away that he will not have to do anything unless the ref has to somehow interfere or something else, Gwangi bits a poor guy’s arm off. The man screams at an exceedingly high volume, causing sound waves to echo around the area where Riptide and Neo-SpaceGodzilla are facing off, signaling the carnage to commence.
(Essentially, let the battle begin.)

Riptide looses a harsh mechanical roar as his boosters kick in, causing the machine to hover slightly before kicking off and rushing Neo-Spacegodzilla. The titanic saurian is taken aback slightly by this change in tactics, and Riptide's right fist smashes into NSG's temple, followed by a quick left hook to the jaw. Neo-Spacegodizlla staggers slightly from the attack, but is otherwise not seriously injured. However, he will be as the blades on Riptide's arms swing forward and Riptide atempts to stab NSG in the gut...

But Neo-Spacegodzilla interrupts the attack with a telekinetic punch to the Riptide's face, which knocks the machine back slightly.
With a grin, Neo-Spacegodzilla raises three crystals off the ground and charges them with energy, before hurling them at his foe.

Riptide skids to a halt a short distance away from the telekinetic attack, when his sensors picked up the incoming objects. Reacting quickly, he threw his arms up in front of him. The crystals exploded a mere fraction of a second later. When the smoke and shrapnel ceased, Riptide stood unharmed behind a lightly pulsing barrier of energy. The barrier vanished as Riptide lowered his arms. If the machine could grin, he would be doing it now.
The cannons on Riptide's shoulders lengthend and lowered to the point where they now faced Neo-Spacegodzilla. A familiar green glow formed at the focusing arrays, and then exploded outwards as twin beams of thermonuclear destruction lanced forward and struck Neo-Spacegodzilla in the chest. The crystalline mutation cried out as the nuclear weaponry washed over his flesh. When the smoke cleared, a barrage of missiles were heading his way, courtesy of Riptide...

The missiles streak toward their target, but suddenly stop just a few meters short. Neo-Spacegodzilla sneers, and with a wave of his hand, sends the missiles back at Riptide. The machine's body is rocked with explosions as it's hit by its own missiles. It falls backward, several spots of its armor damaged by the missile barrage.
Neo-Spacegodzilla hovers over to his fallen opponent and lands next to it before flipping it on to its stomach with his foot. He plants his foot on Riptide's back and raises a crystal out of the ground with his telekinesis and positions it above Riptide, preparing to drop it on the machine's head.

Riptide may be on his back, but his arms are still functioning. He throws them over his head. As before, the pulsating barrier of energy stops the attack short. Neo-Spacegodzilla snarls in frustration once again and prepares to drop another crystal on Riptide, when the machine throws himself bodily to the left. The sudden shift in motion knocks Neo-Spacegodzilla off balance momentarily, as Riptide stops on his back, and fires a stream of electric blue-plasma energy at Neo-Spacegodzilla's thighs. The titanic creature buckles under force of the blast and is catapulted back into one of his own crystals, as Riptide picks himself up off the ground.
Neo-Spacegodzilla gets to his own feet as Riptide launches himself at him, Delta Blades extended and gleaming in the fires of the ruined city...

Neo-Spacegodzilla is too stunned to react. Or at least, that's what he makes Riptide think. As the machine rockets toward him, a crystal slams into the side of its head, engulfing it in a large explosion and sending it careening out of control. Neo-Spacegodzilla watches with a grin as Riptide crashes into one of the few large structures left semi-intact after his arrival, which promptly collapses on the machine.
With that done, NSG picks Riptide up with his telekinesis and tries to smash it into the ground head-first.

Riptide reacts quickly to the Gravity Tornado attack. His body may be immobilized, but he isn't incapable of firing his weapons. The green glow returns to the ANECs as they release their nuclear payloads at Neo-Spacegodzilla. faced with the prospect of maintaining his hold on Riptide and raising his barrier, he hesitates. The indescion costs him as the beams of nuclear enrgy wash over Neo-Spacegodzilla's face. The crystaline behemoth shrieks in agony as he clutches his burnt face, and Riptide's boosters activate to slow his fall speed to less dangerous levels.
Riptide picks himself off the ground, and realizing that Neo-Spacegodzilla is bound to be pissed at this point. So, without further waiting, Riptide powers up both the ANECs and th eSuper NOVA at the same time, and fire's them at Neo-Spacegodzilla's torso...

Neo-Spacegodzilla manages to see through the pain and raise his shield. The beams strike the shield and wash harmlessly across its surface. Once the assault ceases, Neo-Spacegodzilla lowers his shield and raises several crystals off the ground. With a roar, he launches them at Riptide. However, the attack is not what it first appears to be. The crystals suddenly shatter into millions of tiny flechettes, which pepper Riptide's body with tiny explosions. Each one is relatively insignificant, but there are millions of them.
Riptide staggers from the massive attack, with several small cracks now opened up in various spots of its armor. Before the machine can even fall over, NSG launches into his next attack. He launches himself at Riptide and spins around, trying to slam his massive tail into the mech.

Although Riptide had been caught off guard by Neo-Spacegodzilla's rather sudden use of one of his mor eunconventional attacks, he was still able to react to the incoming tail, and as such, his processors had come up with a solution. The tail slammed into his chest plate, damaging the NXT even further. But Riptide grasped the tail tightly, the same armor providing protection from any energy surges. The machine's booster engines roared to life as he began to swing Neo-Spacegodzilla around, smashing him into and through the surrounding crystalline towers before releasing him to smash into another tower some distance away, leaving a nice trench in the earth in the process.
Riptide's wings spread wide as the machine took flight and flew over the downed Neo-Spacegodzilla, another round of ANECs prepared and aimed at his back...

NSG may not be able to raise his shield in his prone position, but he's certainly not helpless. As the twin beams of energy streak towards him, they suddenly twist and split apart into several smaller streaks of energy, before being drawn into NSG's shoulder crystals. The crystals glow brightly as NSG rolls over, a smirk on his face.
A pair of emerald bolts of energy leap from NSG's shoulders and strike Riptide, capturing the mech in the Gravity Tornado. He draws Riptide closer to himself. Once he has his opponent in position, he examines the damage he's done to it this far. He zeros in on one particular crack, located on the machine's left pectoral region. With his target selected, NSG moves Riptide a few hundred meters away and raises three crystals off the ground. He hurls the crystals at Riptide. As they approach the mech, they line up one behind the other. An instant later, the three crystals strike the crack on Riptide's chest. The Gravity Tornado holds the machine steady as the crystals strike it and explode.
The first crystal weakens the armor. The second crystal rips the armor open. And the final crystal widens the hole and allows hundreds of crystal shards to enter the machine's body.
NSG releases Riptide from the Gravity Tornado, allowing it to fall to the ground with a smoking hole in its chest. He then picks Riptide up with his telekinesis and tries to sling it into a building.
