In keeping with the lava monster theme, Magmire emerges from underground somewhere and demands intros be posted.

An orange shpere of light soars through the air from the east, then crashes into the snowy summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Lava pours from the surface, before a titan of rock and magma rips free. Obsidius hisses at the african plains, then sits down upon his newly made throne of lava and snow.

The nearby rocks begin to shake as the earth rumbles beneath them. The ground bursts open in a blast of charred rock as Valcanus emerges, the intense heat from his body melting the surrounding snow. His fireball-like eyes shifted, staring at the faceless golem with burning malice. Valcanus stood up and bellowed, smoke blasting from his vents. He stepped forward, lava dripping from his maw. The magma monsters intentions were more than clear.

Obsidius spots his foe farther down the slope, and hisses before charging down, leaping into the air, and smashing his fist into the opposition's face. As Valcanus staggers backward, Obsidius snarls and spits out a glob of sticky, gooey, not-so-hot lava, that aims to temporarily glue Valcanus' hands together.

Valcanus digs his feet into the ground, halting his stagger, and lets the glob of lava splatter uselessly against his right arm. With a snarl, Valcanus raises his body temperature- and as the air warps and his rocky hide begins to glow, the semi-solid lump oozed and melted, slopping off of him and hitting the ground as burning lumps of magma.
Then, looking up at his foe, Valcanus snorted impatiently. Completely ignoring the last attack, he decided to return the favor of melee... suddenly charging forward, Valcanus swung his arms wide and bellowed. A fist from the right, a fist from the left- the two punches hit simultaneously from either side, smashing Obsidius' head inbetween them. Fragments of rock flew off as the force of the blows shook the ground, sending the lava monster staggering back and falling over.
Admiring the spiderweb cracks that stretched across either side of Obsidius' "face", Valcanus lifted his head into the air and roared, flames gushing from his maw.

At that moment, Obsidius leaps forward, tackling Valacnus and putting off his aim. Tangled together, the two monsters go rolling down the slope for some time, before crashing down onto a shelf. As the two lava monsters stand and shake dust off, Obsidius quickly reaches out and shoves Valcanus in the chest, threatening to make him to fall backward off the shelf...

Valcanus howls and dissappears over the edge. The ground shakes and thunders- the sound of his body rolling down the mountainside? No.
As Obsidius peered over the ledge, it became apparent that Valcanus had fallen, but not far. The volcanic kaiju had tore away at the side of the hill and bored his way through, leaving a monster-sized hole in the side of the earth.
The earth rumbled again, and Valcanus burst up from beneath his foe, grabbing Obsidius' ankles and heaving them up. The gray, rocky monster roared in surprise as Valcanus lifted him off his feet and off balance, throwing him forward, over the very edge he'd tried to dump Valcanus off of.
Valcanus watched Obsidius crash, tumble and roll down the mountainside, bouncing off the occasional boulder. He snarnled, then disappeared beneath the ground again. Far below, as Obsidius rolled to a halt, the earth shook. As he burrowed down the mountain as quickly as possible, Valcanus began to summon a geyser beneath his downed foe...

Obsidius leaps into the air, avoiding the lava, then crashes down onto a large shelf, before blasting his lava beam into the area where he predicts Valcanus to be. His prediction isn't exact, but he can see part of Valcanus, signifying that he struck right next to Val's position. Quickly, he lunges over, and grabs onto Valcanus' tail, before pulling him out and preparing to punch him hard in the face.

(I wasn't on a shelf, I was burrowing underground.)

Jack, you've had plenty of time. Either edit your attack, or you're disqualified. This is becoming a real bad habit of yours.

Valcanus eagerly accepts the punch, catching it in his mouth and biting down hard. As his foe moans in what sounds to be either agony or surprise, Valcanus swings his head and sends Obsidius stumbling away. With a snarl, Val stands up and unleashes a blast of his heat beam at Obsidius' back...

Obsidius spins around, only to take the heat beam in the face, causing him to start falling backward, until he finally comes to rest, a knot in his back stuck in a small cave. From his awkward position, head facing downhill, tail facing up, back stuck in the mountainside, he still manages to fire up a glob of sticky lava that hits Valcanus right over the eyes, blinding him until he can get it off. Obsidius then pulls free, and charges up the mountaintop, ready to bash his head hard into Valcanus' chest...
