Valcanus' face cracked into a wicked grin as he gladly met Obsidius' charge with an outstretched fist. In a burst of flame Valcanus' entire right arm went into Obsidius' giant, crater-like mouth, submerging in his molten interior.
Grunting from the weight, Valcanus grabbed the side of Obsidius' head with his free arm and, lifting his arm inside, heaved Obsidius off the ground and flipped him over head, slamming him down against the ground behind him. Lava spewed out as he crashed against the earth, lying on his back.
Valcanus snorted out a cloud of smoke and shook the the coating of lava from his arm. The beast's face made an excellent grappling tool... perhaps he could further exploit it.
That in mind, Valcanus raised his foot and prepared to stomp it down into Obsidius' crater-face...

Quickly, Obsidius moved his head aside, allowing the foot to simply crash into the ground, before leaning towards it and biting with his vice-like jaws. The jaws crushed hard on Valcanus' legs, spilling his magma-like blood, before Obsidius jerked his head, sending Val tumbling down the mountainside. As Valcanus finally came to rest, Obsidius stood and fired down a lava beam, to push Valcanus farther down the mountain.

Valcanus bellowed and lurched down to a quadrupedal stance, siezing the earth in his hands and taking the brunt of the beam with his shoulders. Anchored to the ground, he endured the blast, simply absorbing it's heat.
As the beam ended, Valcanus lifted his arms, ripping loose the ground he held before hammering it with his claws. He tore away at the earth, burrowing down into it and disappearing in a cloud of smoke and cinders.
Moments later, the ground literally exploded. Valcanus burst from underneath the soil, pouncing on Obsidius and tackling him to the ground. He snarled, wanting to bite down on the beast- but it's rocky exterior would surely be impervious. So, pulling back his right arm, Valcanus swung down with his fist and clobbered the side of the monster's face. As it's head reeled left, Valcanus raised his other hand and prepared to strike again...

Sudenlly, a stream of searing magma gushed from Obsidius' maw, crashing into Valcanus and sending him crashing baclward, sliding even farther down the mountain. As Valcanus crashed down onto his chest, Obsidius leapt into the air, preparing to land on his back and ride Valcanus down the slope like a bobsled.

As Valcanus slammed his claws into the side of the mountain to slow his descent, he summoned a geyser to intercept Obsidius' attack. A pressurized burst of lava exploded from the nearby mountainside, striking the faceless horror in mid jump and knocking it out of the air.
As Valcanus skidded to a halt, he glanced up to see his foe soaring down through the air before violently crashing in an explosion of dust of rocky debris. The magma monster snorted, amused, and began digging away at the rock. Fully submerged, Valcanus started towards Obsidius, preparing to launch another attack from below...

Valcanus bursts from out of the ground, rising beneath Obsidius' feet and nearly throwing him off his feet. As the magma monster staggered away, Valcanus, still on all fours, scrambled forward, pressing an early charge. Rising to his feet closer than Obsidius might've expected, Valcanus planted his fist directly in the monster's face. But this time he was going for the kill.
With his free arm, Valcanus siezed Obsidius in a headlock, jerking his head down- and then, to the monster's surprise, removed his hand from his mouth, fist still clenched. Had that been his attack? What had he meant to accomplish?
The kaiju had only a moment to ponder before it learned first hand that it was wrong; the attack was not yet over. Valcanus had simply been lining up his blow- with his arm pulled back and lined up with the monster's "magmouth", Valcanus thrust forward with a vicious uppercut.
The blow went into Obsidius' mouth, up through his magma interior, and with an explosion of rock and flame, punched clear through the back of his neck. Valcanus' hand, drenched in lava, shot up from the monster's neck and reached forward, grabbing Obsidius' face. Hooking his fingers under the golem's top jaw, Valcanus roared and pulled back with all his strength. The upper half of the creature's head snapped back, seperating from it's lower half in a burst of molten rock.
Letting go of the detached jaw and ripping his hand out of Obsidius' "mouth", Valcanus threw in a quick left jab, striking the side of the kaiju's neck and throwing it's limp body to the ground. The earth shook as Obsidius, partially headless, landed on it's stomach and lay motionless. Valcanus stood for a moment, watching as it's molten contents poured freely from the gaping wound that was it's face and slowly cooled from the cold mountain air.
The merciless volcano monster turned his back and left the area, leaving his mutilated opponent. He would eventually completely harden, becoming nothing more than a grim-looking statue... a monument to his power. Grinning at the thought of his competition being turned into an advertisement, Valcanus ripped a hole in the earth and submerged into the depths of the Earth...
