Intro:

It was mid-day at the Grand Canyon. The area was a barren wasteland void of any visitors. Normally the landmark would have tourists pay a visit, but today the Canyon was closed off to everyone. The Grand Canyon was chosen as the testing site for a new government weapon to be used as a means to defend against kaiju attacks against humanity. The serenity of the landscape was broken by the noise of approaching helicopters. The several aircrafts contributed to the transportation of the mech via cables; the creation was decked out in black armor with some areas of orange. It's body shape resembled something like a fox perhaps. The robot was as still as a statue, probably because it was deactivated. Once the helicopters reached the landing point, they released the cables after the mech was carefully lowered to the ground, and headed back to the base. As the transport 'copters became a blur in the distance, the mech's optics flashed a brilliant orange as it's systems activated. The Shadow Fox raised its head and assumed a battle stance and growled, at the ready for his sparring partner...

And then, as if descending from the heaven's themselves, the Shadow Fox's rival came down. The massive bot landed loudly on the ground, on his right kneee, left foot, and placing his hammer grasping hand on the ground. He slowly rose from the crouched stance. The sun glinted off his body.

The Mighty Thor had arrived.

Photon energy surged into Mjolnir. He spied the Shadoe Fox a good distance away. He locked onto him.

This would be fun.

The Shadow Fox glared at his enemy for a couple seconds before deciding to shed first blood. As if it assumed a life of its own, the back-mounted cannon looks up, staring at Thor with its barrel. The gattling gun begins rotating, unleashing a volley of bullets. The cannon slowly moved up and down, spreading its bullets all around. After about 10 seconds of fire, the cannon ceases movement and retracts to its idle position. Small wisps of smoke were lazily rising from the barrel tips.

Thor's entire front side was covered in small dents and dings; nothing major thanks to the quality of his armor. The Shadow Fox growls before dashing away in a speedy manner to avoid being a sitting duck for his opponent. As he propelled away, his missile pods unleashed a total of 24 missiles at Thor, each rocket snaking through the air towards their locked-in target...

In response, Thor lifted Mjolnir. The giant hammer glowed for an instant. Then, its Arc Caster went off, sending out many blue bolts of photon energy. The bolts intercepted the rockets, causing them to detonate upon contact. A large cloud of smoke was created from the explosions. It blocked out Thor from Shadow Fox's view.

Then, suddenly, Thor burst out from the cloud, propelled by his jetpack. He zoomed in at the Fox, swinging his hammer hard into its body and sending the Fox flying away. The Zoid landed hard on his side and bounced a couple times. thor landed, lifted his palm, and fired off a blast of photon energy at Shadow Fox.

The Fox used his swift speed of which he was so famous for to dash out of the way. Standing to the side, his body recoils thrice in conjunction with his mortar cannon launching. The trio of grenades crash along Thor's chest, leaving behind scorched patches of dented metal in their wake, in which steam arose from. Small crumbs of broken off armor fell to the ground.

The Shadow Fox roars as it runs circles around Thor, dispersing his smokescreen. Once the two became enveloped by the thick black smog, the Fox pounced from behind. He was a moment away from crashing full-force into Thor's back and digging his claws in...

Thor just let the Fox pounce on him. But the second he did, Thor reached his open hand back. He grasped the Shadow Fox by the neck and proceeded to judo flip him off and slam him into the ground. As he hit, Thor proceeded to kick and punt the Fox away, sending him rolling away once more.

As he separated himself and the Fox, Thor charged Mjolnir and swept in for a swing.

Shadow Fox's body spasmed as the hammer struck his side, creating somewhat of a dent in his armor. SF stands up, shakes his body, and growls before advancing.

Shadow Fox compresses his jaws around Thor's right arm, near the elbow. At the same time, the back-mounted Gatling gun perks up and fires into Thor's face. The mech stumbles back as countless bullets bombard his face; at the same time, the fox's saw-tipped fangs (the Blade Snap upgrade) were slicing and hacking away at Thor's armor. This created a horrible screeching noise as the metal sawed at metal.

Once he was satisfied, the Shadow Fox leaps away from Thor. SF's assault left Thor's face tormented by dents and some bullets that were stuck in his face, while the right arm's armor was gnarled and twisted where the fox clamped. Taking this opportunity, Shadow Fox fires off a couple of Gatling rounds. They missed Thor, but instigated an avalanche behind the colossal mech. Thor seemed oblivious to the massive chunks of rock and boulders that were about to crush him...

Thor was indeed very aware of the avalanche. Activating his jet booster, he evaded the falling rocks. As he did, he charged Mjolnir with energy. But instead of a hammer attack, Thor landed some distance away from the Shadow Fox. He pointed the hammer at the Fox and unleashed a deadly blast of photon energy at him. The beam hit the Fox directly in the neck area. Once more the Zoid was sent tumbling backwards, smoke rising from the wound, as well as sparks. Thor followed up with a volley of photon arc blasts.

For the record, I thought we were fighting inside the Grand Canyon and was shooting one of the rock walls of it. my bad XP


The Fox goes into a roll and avoids all of the photon blasts except one; this one impacted his left side. The Shadow Fox growls as it rises up and prepares for payback.

SF unloads his 24 missiles on his enemy. The explosives stream through the air at Thor. The end result was two dozen missiles bombarding the chest's damaged armor from the mortars earlier. The explosions caused Thor to stumble back a couple meters. A couple of small chunks of armor broke off and fell to the ground. Electricity cackled around the damaged armor occasionally. The Shadow Fox growls before firing two mortars at the chest wound...

Thor raised his hammer, letting Mjolnir take the brunt of the attack. He was sent back some more meters, but decided to gain them back...and some more. Thor surged forward, powered by his jet booster. He grabbed the Fox as he zoomed at him. Flying up, he released the Fox in mid air and then smashed him with his hammer. The blow sent the Fox hurtling back to Earth....hard. Thor didn't stop there. He cut his booster, aiming his giant, metal foot at the Fox's body.

Shadow Fox's tail propels a torpedo-like projectile. While in the air, the projectile split in half before propelling a net from one of the broken halves. The net wrapped around Thor and tripped him up, causing him to smash head-first into ground. Once the net started cackling with electricity, Thor wondered what good it would do since his armor was resistant to electricity. However, once the electricity started frying the exposed circuits and such in the damaged chest region, Thor regretted this attack.

The net pumped enough electricity into Thor's systems (via the exposures in the damaged armor) to lag him up, but not cripple him. With Thor on the ground and constricted by the net, the Shadow Fox fired off 3 more mortars for Thor's back...

While still entangled in the net, Thor activated his booster and boosted away from the mortar shells. He boosted further away, putting some distance between he and the Shadow Fox. using Mjolnir, he fired off a very thin beam of energy. He used it to cut his way out of the net. But he did not discard that net just yet.

Thor boosted back towards the Fox. As he neared him, he cut the booster and slid on the ground, his feet sending up a shower of dirt and rocks. It seemed as though he would crash into him, but at the last second, Thor threw the net best he could around the Fox. The netting wrapped about one of the Fox's legs. Thor pulled on it, pulling the Fox out from under himself. Working quickly, Thor did his best to wrap more of the net around the Fox's other legs.

The Fox's claws charged with energy which made cutting through the net easier. Next the Fox quickly gets up and lunges, performing a Strike Laser Claw. The energized claws tore a chunk out of Thor's right shoulder, exposing an intricate collection of wires. Surges of electricity cackled around the damaged area. Thor remained still however, not hinting to even the slightest weakness. The Shadow Fox roars as his claws dim down until back to normal. The Fox follows up with a burst of fire from his gatling gun at Thor's torso...

Thor quickly raised Mjolnir. The unbreakable hammer deflected the shots. Thor lowered the hammer, staring down the Shadow Fox.

"Mistake."

If Thor's sudden speech did not catch the Fox off guard, then his next attack probably did. With a sudden charge up and lunge, Thor swung Mjolnir right into the Shadow Fox's face. The metal beast was sent down onto the ground, sparks and metal flying off it damaged head. Thor stomped towards the Fox. He pointed Mjolnir at the down Fox, charging a shot of photon energy.
