Only for a hole to purposely open in Chaos' chest, allowing the beam to pass harmlessly through him. Ironically, the beam damages part of the city the mech is trying to save. Chaos snarled again, he had not expected those explosive things to be equiped to Darktide, but now that he knew, he would take more precautions. Though the water dragon was thoroughly pissed off at Darktide, his maw dove into Darktide's circuitry, tearing a large chunk of it out. Roaring, he dives back in, tearing another chunk out of his mechanical, unfeeling foe.
His tendrils form again, and jab into Darktide, draining him of his strength once more as Chaos backs off a bit. After stealing a sufficent amount of energy, he forges his energy orb again and fires it at the smoking 'wound' that he had just torn chunks of circuitry out of.

Darktide though, merely shifted to the side, as the energy sphere collided with an undamaged section of armor...and wa spromptly absorbed. Chaos had made his biggest mistake yet, and Darktide was about to make him pay for it. The Ion Linear Cannon swiveled to face Chaos, and a beam of amber plasma energy erupted, blowing Chaos away with a single Plasma Grenade round. Chaos screamed as his flesh was vaporized on impact, leaving a very nasty wound behind. Chaos screamed and clutched hsi wounded chest, as Darktide rushed forward and deployed the Harmonics Disruptor at point blank...

The water dragon gritted his teeth as he teleported behind Darktide again, escaping the painful horror that was the Harmonics Disruptor. Perfect Chaos snarled as he pulled Darktide around to face him, and promptly shoved him backwards as well. The force was not enough to topple Darktide, but it didn't have to. A wave of water rose up in front of Chaos as he glared. Darktide wanted to bring out a bigger weapon, huh? Well, Chaos just had to step it up another notch. The wave surged forward, washing harmlessly over Darktide. Confused for bit, it took his processors a split second to realize he had just been impaled with many smaller Chaos Lances...
And when he noticed them, it was already too late to do anything about them. The Chaos Spears, as the were refferred to in this smaller state, reacted with great explosions, tearing more of Darktide's armor off and further damaging his inner workings. The Hole in Darktide's upper chest had spread the to both sides of him, having mostly been contained in the middle, and even extended downward a touch, creating more space for Chaos to aim without worrying about the absorbant armor and, worse, the giant heat weapon on the opposite shoulder of the triple barreled weapon that spread his body across the city.
Before the mech had recovered from the flurry of spears, Perfect Chaos was already sending his sword- and axe-tipped tendrils after the dark warrior, intending to gouge out poritions of inner workings as he had done before.

Darktide's arms quickly covered si body, as the tendrils merely bounced harmlessly off of the pulsing energy barriers that sprang to life there.
Darktide loosed a harsh, mechanical cry as the particle intake vents roared to life, the tip of the Ion Linear Cannon began to hum with power. Darktide rapidly rocketed away from Chaos, his Impact Cannons lowering themselves into position, and a powerful crimson aura formed in the back of his throat. Ports in his legs opened up, revealing the Hydra Missiles within. Chaos roared in confusion, unsure of what exactly Darktide was going to do. That momentary pause affored him all the time he needed.
The roar was deafening, as the concussive shockwaves spread out from the Ion Linear Cannon, as a compressed stream of charged particles tore through Chaos' watery shoulder, steam rising from the intense heat generated. Another, almost simultaneous roar was followed by three massive explosions on Chaos' right side, which splattered water and tore into the nervous system with ease. The Hyper NOVA vaporized portions of Chaos' chest, turning water to steam, then nothingness, as the high energy plasma beam ripped through watery flesh. Hydra Missiles exploded across Chaos' body, spreading him further across the city.
Chaos shrieked in agony as his body was torn asunder by the all-out strike, before Darktide finally ceased the assault, letting his weapons have time to cool down. Chaos seemed to be able to keep his form longer this time, so Darktide lowered the Impact Cannons again and prepared another Triple Burst, hoping to end Chaos for good...

Only Darktide did not see a water tendril sneak past and wrap around his legs until he was litterally pulled off his feet, making the Triple Burst fire harmlessly into the sky. Chaos snarled as he got back to his feet. Before Darktide could get up, the dark warrior found itself restrained by many of Chaos' water tendrils as the water dragon prepared two Chaos Lances and a Chaos Blast. Just incase of retaliation, Chaos also used tendrils to entrap the Ion Linear Cannon and the Impact Cannons, making sure they couldn't move into a position to target him as well as using a few tendrils to clamp Darktide's maw shut, so that the Hyper NOVA couldn't be used on him.
Since restraining Darktide included keeping the arms down, the possiblity of Darktide defending himself with his barrier fields was next-to-none. Perfect Chaos roared his power as he threw the two lances with his beam weapon soon following. The Chaos Lances dug into the lowest part of the now unarmored chest of Darktide, while the Chaos Blast hit higher up, dealing more damage to the already trashed inner workings there. The lances blew up, further ravaging the mech, but it still seemed to be in fighting shape, albeit not as much as it was before...
But still, how it was operational to any degree now was beyond Perfect Chaos' comprehension. One thing he was sure of though, whoever built it knew what they were doing when they built it. Perfect Chaos snarled and pulled the mech back to its feet, he was annoyed at its resiliance, but he would not fall by its hand. The tendrils flicked upward, tossing Darktide into the air to be target practice for a Chaos Blast, aimed directly where the previous one hit.

Darktide was still grievously wounded and could do little more than turn a shoulder and let the blast strike a wing, dealing quite a bit of damage despite the NXT coating. Still, he didn't need the wings.
Darktide puased for a moment to survey his foe and the situation. Chaos had just taken a full on blast from most of his weaponry and survived, but still quite obviously damaged. He, on the other hand, wasn't in much better shape. But it was time to change that.
Darktide loosed a harsh mechanical cry as he rocketed back at Chaos, a building hum emmanating from his HD Cannon. Chaos shriked as the sonic waves hit his body, turning water into nothingness as more of his torso seemed to disentigrate.
A blade of crimson plasma energy sprang from his right arm unit, as ports in his legs opened up to reveal more Hydra Missiles. Darktide fired off the volley first and then quickly lunged after Chaos, intent on burying the plasma blade in is gullet...

Chaos shrieked, however he did not teleport away this time. Water tendrils sprung from Chaos and whipped forward, deflecting the missle as a Chaos blast was directed at a building that Darktide would passing by soon. It served the purpose Chaos intended, knocking Darktide down for a few seconds to stop its charge. The manuver did no damage, so it wouldn't be very long before Darktide was back on his feet. He didn't need a long time though, just enough to forge a few extra lances.
Six Chaos Lances, two in his hands, and the remaining four stuck into the ground, awaiting the water dragon's use of them. As Darktide rose he was asailed by the Chaos Lances one after another as the explosions sent him down to the ground again. Water Tendrils swiftly snaked their way over and pinned Darktide's arms down, effectively nulling the possibility of the barrier fields, and Chaos fired his Chaos Blast at Darktide's chest 'wound' again...

But Darktide countered with hsi Hyper NOVA beam, as the two collided in a brilliant display of energy. The beams pushed and shoved again one another, each combatant devoting all the necessary power to win. But Darktide's proved superior as it pushed back the Chaos Blast into Chaos' mouth, where it exploded in a deafening roar.
Chaos wailed in agony as Darktide took the opportunity to free himself before cloaking and moving behind Chaos, a Plasma Cutter at the ready...

Perfect Chaos snarled and glanced around frantically. Where was that annoying pest of a machine? It had managed to over power his attack, so it obviously shouldn't be taken even a tad bit lightly anymore.
The water dragon got his answer in the form of a burning pain sweeping horizontally. Damn it! He realized to late that the mech had cloaked itself from his eyes again. As the crimson blade of energy left his body, Chaos wheeled around to face Darktide. The chaotic dragon lashed out with his jaws, clamping them down on Darktide's own maw and piercing the armor with his 'fangs' before ripping away a decent chunk of the armor. Darktide's mechanical screech was heard as the black warrior reeled back, unaware of a Chaos Lance ready to impale it on its face where Chaos had ripped away some of the armor.

The lance ripped into Darktide's facial armor and detonated, tearing free more armor plating. Fortunately, some of Darktide's more vital systems were stored elsewhere.
Although his vision was blurred, Darktidecould still make out Chaos, as he fired another Triple Burst from hsi Impact Cannons, splattering Chaos' body all over the landscape. As the water dragon began to reform, albeit more slowly than ever, Darktide fired his Hyper NOVA, hoping to mop up the smaller pieces before they reattached...

Perfect Chaos howled as the Hyper NOVA obliterated more 'pieces' of his 'flesh' just before he finished reforming. The water dragon was about to retailiate when it thought of something else. This mech was equal to, if not, superior to him in both ranged and melee combat, though the latter was questionable the former was not. Both had sustained massive damage, and Chaos was tiring. The aquatic beast gave a glare that clearly translated too 'You have won this fight, but I will be back' Chaos teleported to Tokyo bay and proceeded to dive swiftly and silently under the ocean as his body merged with the waters. The only thing Darktide could make out after that was a pair of snake eyes that were 'swimming' away. The dark warrior had done his job, he protected the city from being completely demolished.
(OOC: I'm giving up this fight. I know I could have won if I kept on trying, but I simply can't take two matches at the same time now that school is up for me. Maybe we can have a rematch later, OR, it's been fun pitting my creation against yours.)
