Water from Tokyo Bay surged up in a similar fasion to a tidal wave and swept into the city seemingly without cause. At least a few thousand people were caught in the sudden wave as it tore through Tokyo's streets, strangely leaving the buildings intact. The water condensed itself into one of the tall skyscrapers, filling it to the brim and then exploding out through the windows.
Instead of falling to the streets and crushing anything beneath it though, the water writhed and twisted, taking the form of a dragon, bipedal and heavily built. Perfect Chaos roared as he prepared to unleash his fury out on anything that gets in his way.
(OOC: Those who play Sonic Adventure DX may recognize this as the in-game Perfect Chaos' entrance. Considering my version is loosely based off of him, I figured it was appropriate to have him enter a similar fasion.)

As the crowds fled in terror, a new, dark savior arrived to handle the threat. Darktide, newly outfitted with some new weaponry, lands in the path of the advancing elemental dragon, and looses a harsh mechanical roar in defiance of the beast. He asusmes a combat ready stance, all weapons aimed at Chaos, with the intention of inishing this here and now...

Perfect Chaos snarled at the black mech, who was clearly determined to stop him in his tracks. He would not, however, be defeated easily, and if he were to lose, he would make sure it costed Darktide's owners a hell of a lot of money to get it fixed.
The water dragon roared, tendrils forming out of his back, the ends shaping into 'swords' and 'axes' and sent them after Darktide, reapeatedly slashing and hacking at the mech with no sign of relenting. each tendril slashed or hacked at Darktide at least twenty-five times, however, its armor was strong so the damage was not too bad, and Chaos, figuring with all the beam -wielding monsters around prompting the little mammals to create a defense to them, was unsure if whatever beam-resistant/absorbing coating Darktide had was comprimised enough to warrent the Chaos Lance.
Assuming it wasn't, Chaos teleported behind Darktide, wrapped his arms around the mech and placed his 'claws' on the scratch marks in Darktide's armor was, also assuming the coating was thin, and fired off his Chaos Surge, hoping that its partially magical properties will bypass any of the energy absorbing coating that may still be there...

Fortunately for Darktide, the initial assault had been severely dampened by his NXT sheath, so that when the second attack came, he was ready. As Chaos magic surged across his armor, also dampened some his NXT sheath, Darktide's thrusters roared to life, catching Perfect Chaos off guard and burning him severely. The force of the engines alone was enough to rip Darktide from his grasp and knock him flat, while Darktide rocketed into the air.
Darktide turned to face Perfect Chaos, as his systems began to scan and determine what kind of composition he had. In the meantime, a crimson glow built in the back of his mouth, before Darktide unleashed a Hyper NOVA beam, a good way to test Chaos' resiliance and reaction times...

Chaos didn't plan, however, to get roasted again. His body flashed as he teleported away from Darktide's second retribution. He reappeared 320 meters away in a matter of seconds, catching Darktide completely off guard. A few flaps of his wings, and the water dragon was also air borne. Snickering, the dragon teleported again, this time right in front of Darktide.
The dragon grabbed at Darktide's chest and used his raw power to simply rip away at the black mech's armor. It was very durable, but Chaos was still able to rip through it, exposing some of the inner workings.
Grabbing some of these, and knowing it should bypass the armor by surging from the inside, he repeated his Chaos Surge.

But Chaos had not counted on one thing...the Harmonics Disruptor.
It was as if Chaos' entire body was being ripped apart at the molecular level, which in fact, it was. Parts of his flesh seemed to simply fall apart around the weapon, which Darktide had jammed into Chaos' gut. Chaos roared in agony as Darktide shoved him away and prepared to stab him in the gut with a Plasma Cutter...

Chaos grunted as five tendrils of water wrapped around the arm wielding the Plasma Cutter, holding it back. The water dragon jabbed ten more tendrils into the opening in Darktide's armor that he made, and quickly sapped energy from his foe. As a result of the energy loss, Darktide's Plasma Cutter sputtered and died out. Perfect Chaos threw the mech away with his tendrils as he prepared his next attack.
The ten tendrils that stole Darktide's energy formed a perfect circle above Chaos' head as they charged power. An orb appeared in the middle of the circle and steadily grew, gaining power. The dragon snickered as it peaked, and threw it at Darktide.
The orb hit in the opening on his armor, exploding and ravaging the mech. Before Darktide knew what was coming, a Chaos Lance was already 50% of the distance from him, aiming for the same spot as before...

Suddenly, the Chaos Spear dissipated as it struck an invisible barrier. Darktide's left arm Barrier Field negated the attack with ease, as the mammoth machien brought it's Impact Cannons into play.
There was a thunderous roar, then Chaos' gut seemed to explode, as three shells fired at high speeds exploded, ripping the watery dragon apart. Chaos screamed in agony as Darktide lunged forward, getting fairly close before deploying the Harmonics Disruptor at the wounded area...

Chaos, however, was not quite ready to fall for the same attack twice in the span of a few minutes. He teleported away from the attack, surprising Darktide with his sudden recovery from an attack that could possibly splatter him across the city with little-to-no trouble. The water dragon recovered the 'parts' of his body that were blown off and, thanks to his shifting body, placed them back on. What Darktide apparently didn't know yet, was that Chaos' body was all but immune to damage, meaning that the Impact Cannons, while devastating for most monsters, were not quite as effective against the water dragon.
Yes, they did damage, that much was certain as well as the damage still being there despite the fact the 'wound' no longer 'exists', but such an attack would be much more effective should it hit his mind or nervous system directly. After the Harmonics Disruptor ceased, Perfect Chaos warped in front of Darktide again and grabbed the internal mechanisms of the machine. If Darktide had eyes, they would have widen from realization of what his foe was going to do, but it was too late to react.
Explosions from inside rocked Darktide as Chaos surged his magic into the machine. The dark warrior spasmed violently as watery monstrosity held the attack for twenty minutes in total before finally letting go. Darktide, to put it simply, was a mess now. Many internal explosions were great, some of them enough to erupt through the armor, and the mech most likely had something important damage or worse, comprimised. Perfect Chaos doubted it though, humans wouldn't make their mechs so fragile as to be hampered so easily, Darktide probably had back-ups for whatever was damaged. And that's assuming he even needed back-ups right now.
As the black mech was recovering, Perfect Chaos grabbed its head and prepared to slam it into the ground with all of his power repeatedly.

Clarification: No, I did not just pull regeneration. I specified that Chaos was still damaged, just that the wound could no longer be seen.

Darktide sputtered and sparked from the attack, and could not defend himself in time against the slams...at first. After a few hits, which his armor easily absorbed, his thrusters re-activated and tore him loose from Chaos' grip, before the machine seemed to simply disappear into thin air.
Chaos grunted in confusion, when suddenly, he screamed in mortal agony. A large blade of crimson plasma energy protruded from his gut, slightly off center, as Darktide de-cloaked behind him, before he wrenched the blade rapidly upwards, the burning plasma easily seperating Chaos' "flesh" and nerves, as he tore a wide wound up Chaos' back, right alongside the spine.
Chaos fell screaming before him, as arktide rapidly put some distance between them and fired of a round from his Ion Linear Cannon at Chaos' back. the beam, which traveled at near-lightspeeds, would probably be too fast to avoid...
((OOC: For the record, I don't really classify what did as impalement, given Chaos' body structure. Had I been tearing through vital organs, maybe, but since he's all water...))

(Under normal circumstances, yes, Chaos could not avoid the beam, but after that kind of trama... I'll let you read the result)
Chaos, stunned by the sudden surge of pain, litterally collasped into a giant puddle before the Ion Linear Cannon was fired, and it struck nothing but that, a giant puddle of water. Darktide was puzzled by this, yet made no move to get closer and risk Chaos springing a trap on him. The water, after a few tense seconds, quivered and rose up again, reforming into a very p***ed off-looking Chaos. The water dragon roared in fury at his foe, but teleported twice, back to Tokyo bay.
As soon as he made contact with water, his pupils disappeared as his form bulged upward. Chaos seemed to be going through a very large growth spurt as he shot up from being twenty meters shorter then Darktide to being ten meters taller. He had litterally grown thirty meters in under a minute. With the extra power boost, Chaos determined that it would be much easier destroying Darktide. The water dragon roared with even greater fury then before as he began using Chaos Control to teleport again. Three times he teleported, right in front of Darktide again.
Chaos ensared the mech's arms with his tendrils, preventing it from using the Harmonics Disruptor and the Plasma Cutter while Darktide's maw was held shut by Chaos' hands. Darktide struggled against the elemental dragon's grip, but his growth spurt had given him improved strength, dwindling Darktide's chances of escape to almost nil. The towns folk who were still able to see the warring titans panicked at Darktide's helplessness as the terror of the seas charged a Chaos Blast.
Chaos roared as he unleashed the beam on Darktide's ravaged inner workings, for these were weakpoints that can and will be exploited. Yet again an explosion rocked Darktide's form, though the mech was held still by Chaos. Taking one hand off of Darktide's maw, Chaos forged a spear of energy, holding it long enough to torment the mech with what was about to be used against it. He then tried to thrust the spear deep into Darktide's ravaged workings, the back lash he was going to recieve was going to be worth it for the kind of damage it would deal to the enemy.

Fortunately, Darktide had more than one means of attack. Explosions ripped across Chaos' lower half, splattering water every which way. Darktide's Hydra Missiles had done their job, as Chaos shrieked in pain, his Chaos Spear dissipating harmlessly in his hands.
Darktide threw Chaos back, and fired a Hyper NOVA beam at lose range, the swirling, crimson, plasma beam heading right for Chaos' chest...
