Great clouds of pale grey smoke billowed in the air, chunks of debris still wafting down to the earth. As the destruction simmered and Barugon lay paralyzed, the scene was, if only for a fleeting moment, calm.
The shattered mass of steel and concrete suddenly exploded as Gorgon burst through it, wings spread. Gorgon hovered for a moment, dust and debris falling off his beating wings. Gorgon eyed his foe, tasted the air once more, and dove down on his enemy. Gorgons jaws clamped shut on the back of Barugon's neck and, taking advantage of his enemies inability to fight back, began beating his wings harder and harder. Hurricane force gusts of wind pounded the city, tossing wreckage and vehicles through the air like toys.
Venom-pumping fangs held deep in Barugon's flesh, Gorgon rose higher and higher with his foe. As the reptilian titans reached the climax of the sky, Gorgon's wings ceased to a hover, and his mouth opened. His body quivering and stiff from the venom, Barugon fell through the sky like a giant brick. He hit the earth with such tremendous force that the earth split, and the resulting cloud of destruction was mistaken by humans far away for a mushrrom cloud...
Gorgon slowly descended from the air, peering into the ruin and wreckage, scanning the desolation for Barugon.

Gorgon hovered overhead looking for any sign of Barugon. The smoke was slowly clearing...
Suddenly, a rainbow shot upwards from the cloud and struck Gorgon directly in the right wing. Gorgon hollered in pain as the attack threw him off balance and he began spiraling towards the ground, until finally smashing head first into the ground.
The smoke cleared, and Barugon had vanished. He slowly began stealthing towards his foe while camouflaged, doing his best to ignore the damaging poison...

Gorgon snorted, getting up. Barugon's stealth had no more effect. Like any serpent, Gorgon recognized the smell of his own venom- and Barugon still reeked of it.
Gorgon spread his wings and shot forward in an aerial rush, descending on seemingly empty space. Gorgon landed on his invisible enemy, sinking his wing claws into flesh he could not see and biting down on what he was certain was Barugon's shoulder. He pumped in another dose of venom for good measure as the pigments in Barugon slowly became visible again. Gorgon let go, pushed away from his foe, and hovered patiently nearby.

Barugon needed to act before the poison would begin to take affect. He snarled and leapt up into the air, pouncing onto Gorgon. Barugon latched down onto Gorgon's throat as they came back down to the ground. Barugon then began to thrash around violently...

Gorgon wailed as Barugon shook him around, but endured the wild thrashing. He knew his enemy would not thrash for long. He couldn't thrash for long.
He didn't thrash for long.
The venom began to take it's effect, and Barugon's muslces froze up. His grip loosened, his arms and legs stiffened, and he slumped to the ground paralyzed. Gorgon rose up like a cobra and hissed, glaring down at his vulnerable foe. Now would be a good time to inflict even more pain.
Gorgon raised his tail high, eyes fixated on his foe. How pitiful his enemy looked, laying there, legs twitching in pain as his venom forced muslce spasms through his body. Weak, and ruined. This would be too easy.
Gorgon's tail fell like a hammer, and his bone club hit Barugon on the top of his skull. The earth shook as the force of the blow slammed Barugon's head down into the ground, cracking the ground below. Gorgon lifted his tail, blood dripping from the spikes on his club...

Barugon howled in pain from the blow. But the poison was slowly wearing off now. Barugon rose up to his feet and gazed at Gorgon. He snorted and lashed out with his clawed hands. The claws raked into Gorgon's neck region. Barugon ripped his claws out of Gorgon's flesh, blood spilling down onto the ground from the wound.
Barugon hissed and opened his mouth. His tongue slithered out and sprayed its icy mist at his foe...

Lithe and limber, Gorgon dropped to the ground, the cold mist passing over him. he rushed forward, head lowered, and wedged his head under Barugon's chest. With a massive heave he forced his nasal horn through hide and flesh and thrust upward. Barugon's front feet left the ground, leaving him momentarily in an awkward "upright" position. Gorgon whipped his tail around, his club slamming into Barugon's gut and throwing him down onto his back.

Barugon smashed to the ground. For a few moments he lay there, but soon jumped up to his feet. He quickly advanced forward and leapt up into the air. Barugon landed directly on Gorgon's left wing. The pain forced Gorgon downwards in an awkward and painful position. Barugon the prepared to latch down onto Gorgon's wing...

Gorgon let out a loud, painful screech as his wings were subjected to far more weight than they were meant to hold. Gorgon twisted his neck around, glaring at Barugon upside down before opening his mouth wide and firing a paralysis blast. Unable to steady himself, he fell over on his side as Gorgon pulled his wing out from under him. Gorgon slithered back, hissing. He lifted himself, spreading his ribbed wings to make sure they were still functioning. Both wings still worked, but his left wing was sore all over. Flight was possible, but it might be painful. Gorgon snarled and spat another paralysis blast, hitting Barugon's already tense body and ensuring a longer duration of immobilization.

Barugon is hit yet again by the paralysis beam. Barugon snarls as his muscles freeze up. After awhile, the muscles finally returned to normal. He rose up, seeing Gorgon staring at him. His wing was probably not in pain anymore thanks to the time delay. No matter. Barugon howled and charged forward. He leapt up and came down onto Gorgon. Barugon's tongue lashed out and wrapped around Gorgon's maw, sealing it shut for now. Barugon began clawing viciously at Gorgon's wings...

Gorgon let out a muffled roar as Barugon ripped at the leathery membrane of his wing. His mouth temporarily shut, Gorgon would have to use brute force instead of paralysis. Very well then.
Gorgon's tail arced up, hitting his spiked club into the side of Barugon's head, shoving him and his tongue off. Gorgon bellowed, launching his tail at Barugon and wrapping it around his neck. Then the big squeeze. Gorgon began constricting his coils, slowly choking the life from Barugon...

Barugon would not allow this to happen. He may have a hold on his neck region, but his body was free to move. Barugon reared up onto his back legs, and allowed the weight to cause him and Gorgon to drop back. Gorgon was unprepared for this and his body went smashing into a nearby building from the sudden force.
Gorgon's grip was loosened, and Barugon slipped out of the coils. The beats then prepared to latch down onto Gorgon's chestal region...

Gorgon hissed, rushing head-on into Barugon's advance. The slippery snake kaiju suddenly dropped to the ground, slithering beneath Barugon and passing him, his poisonous back spines raking across Barugon's underbelly in the process. Gorgon stood up behind Baurgon, wings folded neatly, and turned around to face his foe. The poison's painful, burning effects would strike Barugon any second now.

Barugon managed to turn around and lash out his tongue before the poison began to sink in. Icy mist sprayed out from the end and covered Gorgon within a chilling mist. Barugon's tongue recoiled back, and Barugon began to feel the effects of the poison. Barugon, despite the pain, presses on. He arches his back up and fires a rainbow ray at the chilled Gorgon...

Gorgon turned his head upward, the thin layer of ice coating his skin breaking as he moved. Gorgon exhaled a paralysis blast, the purple flash striking the multicolored beam with a blinding explosion.
As the light faded and vision was restored, it became evident that the attacks had cancelled each other out. Gorgon rose up cobra-like, wings spread wide, hissing loudly. Barugon was prey to him, and he was starting to get hungry.
With one powerful flap of his wings Gorgon shot towards Barugon, slamming into him with all his weight. As the two monsters fell and tumbled through the rubble-filled streets, Gorgon began twisting his body around, ensnaring Barugon in his coils.
