Kamacuras chittered wildly as she stumbled to her feet. Her mandibles clenched a moment before the icy wave descended over her, momentarily blotting out her vision. The arthropod charged, flailing her forelimbs wildly. One of her claws caught hold of Freezerburn, the spiked edges digging into his hide and knocking him to the ground.
Before he could react, one of the blinded insect's hook-like feet came down, blindly destined for his head.

The clawed talon came down on the hero's head, but the affects of the attack were less than damaging. A scratch appeared on the face plate, and a few sparks came up as the metallic-like 'helmet' protected him, but once more, the insect was blinded by its instincts to attack. Freezerburn's left arm fell to its side, the fist clenching tight as a blade of flames appeared in his hand.
Like the skilled warrior he is, Freezerburn lashed the blade upward, stabbing it directly into the exoskeleton-joint where the head met the stalk-like body. A geyser of green goo flew out before the wound was cauterized shut when the blade came out. Once again, Kamacuras fell to its side, twitching badly as its body couldn't cope with the rapid changing temperatures.
The sword pulled back into Freezerburn's arm as the other hand formed formed a long, icy spear. The hero took air, preparing to drive it into the burned wound on its 'throat.'

Kamacuras, however, was not as worn down as the hero would've hoped. As Freezerburn came down, his body leaning into his strike, two of Kamacuras' frontal walking legs lashed up, driving into the being's chest, absorbing his momentum and shoving off, flinging him no less than three blocks backward, his body crashing into a tall office building. Mercifully, the building held up, propping the hero in an uncomfortable upright position.
With speed that defied her size, Kamacuras was on her feet and charging at Freezerburn. There was little time to react as the mantid's weight barelled into him, forcing both him and the skyscraper back. the tall building cracked in two, no longer supporting Freezerburn's upper torso as he was forced back by the insect, her jaws taking aim once again for his throat.

It seemed though, that the insect would never learn. The mandibles once again clamped around his throat and squeezed, forcing small openings and gashes in the 'skin', if that's what one would call Freezerburn's hide. As the insect continued to add pressure, it didn't have time to react as the hero brought up a single hand and clicked his fingers.
A spark fell to the ground and then started a whole new type of Hell.
Pillars of flame lifted into the air, the creature shrieked in terror as the ice that coated its body melted away, the water boiling her exoskeleton and the heat made her rise quickly, the flames quickly igniting her abdomen and her thorax. As the pillars stretched out down the blocks, blowing through buildings as if they were cardboard boxes, the insect fell back down, a sickening thud following before the streets cracked and caved in, the mantis laying back-down in a puddle of sewage.
Freezerburn pushed himself off the remains of the building and pointed his hand at the insect. The air began to swirl and freeze before a single Polar Blast leaped out, threatening to freeze the insect solid into the pool of sewage.

Freezerburn knew from the get go that he was facing a creature that could keep up with him with little trouble. He knew he'd have to stay alert to stay on top of this bug. He did not, however, expect the kind of speed that followed.
Kamacuras' wings nearly ripped out of their casing as the massive, green form vanished, spraying sewage against Freezerburn's shins in their wake, allowing the arctic blast to re-solidify the sewer's contents.
The monstrous insect offered little time for the hero to retaliate. Light lightning, the green-shelled monster's bulk plowed into his back, raising a massive clang as the sonic boom erupted around her, even as she drove the hero's face into the soiled streets, smashing through several feet of concrete and into the bare dirt below.
Kamacuras darted upwards as quick as she arrived, leaving a massive shockwave for Freezerburn to taste in her stead.
The mantis reappeared two blocks away to observe her prey's reactions, the destructive harmony of her sudden occupance smashing the better part of the block in a sonic explosion.

The secondary sonic boom smashed the head of Freezerburn even further into the ground, the shock itself creating a crater around the guardian. The insect remained still far away, clicking its mandibles together as it waited for the hero to move, but no such movement came. What was he doing was the question, and the insect lacked the intelligence to figure out.
About fifteen seconds went by before out of nowhere, as fast as lighting, a blue bolt of lightning fired from one shoulder spike, a red one from the other. The ground both froze and burned before the two bolts smashed into Kamacuras, its maw shrieking in pain as its body was frozen, burned, frozen again, and burned again by the bolts.
The insect fell flat, its leg sticking out from under it like a stepped on grasshopper. The hero stood up, his spikes flashed again, and he sent more temperature bolts at the insect.

This would be the second time the hero paid for thinking Kamacuras vulnerable. In the blink of a eye and with a furious hiss, the insect's wings roared to life, hurling the monster out of sight, shattering concrete as the beams struck pure rubble.
The loud screams of Kamacuras' wings did not betray her position, as seemingly before the sound even reached his ears, Freezerburn felt the spiked appendages close around his upper body. Then, the world was thrust into a blender, as he was knocked head over heels. Before he could even register what was happening, Kamacuras had finished her somersault and as she released the hero and darted out of the way, upside down, freezerburn's head was driven deep beneath the earth, the city's streets coming to his sternum as his body was erected, completely upside-down, his head lodged firmly underground. Even then, the inertia proved too much for him to resist, and his body collapsed the moment Kamacuras vanished, his lower body forced forward and painfully into the ground, his organs thrown violently against his flesh.
Freezerburn momentarily blacked out before his rushing adrenaline jumpstarted him. He was now scrunched up on his knees, his head lodged deep into the dirt. And nearly every one of his extremities HURT!
Naturally, he didn't see Kamacuras rapidly approaching, one of her obscenely large spiked claws poised, ready to slam right into the hero's spine.

But Freezerburn was no fool, and he knew this in his keen mind: he was stronger and heavier than the dirt and rubble that he was buried in. The hero's body exploded from the ground, the sonic boom creating a small crater where he once was and Kamacuras flew harmlessly through the now empty area. The alien landed behind the airborne insect, a long, pointed spear quickly forming out of ice. The insect hissed and looked back and turned around, and soon, the hero rose into the air, the spear pointing directly at Kamacuras.
The misting spear of ice stabbed into exoskeleton between the two claws, and the much heavier Freezerburn flew directly forward, smashing Kamacuras through three buildings, and each building pushing the insect even deeper onto the spear. The exoskeleton began to freeze, as did the organs on her inside, her blood reduced to green ice.
After smashing her through five buildings, Freezerburn pulled upward, still holding the spear in hand, he pointed it downward, Kamacuras screeching in pain, because now it could save itself, the spear had completely froze itself into her body.
The hero began to descend to about 100 meters above the ground, and then placed both legs around the area above Kamacuras. The insect wasted no time in trying to slash at them. His hands held on tight, and the he stopped his flight, allowing him to fall directly downward, his bulk pressing on the spear which would either break the insect in two, or cause some severe, uber-damage.

Kamacuras would not have this, however. She may have been dense, but she was not totally incompetent. Both of her monstrous foreclaws simultaniously closed around the spear, even as the hero descended and within an instant, ten thousand tons of ice became ten thousand tons of frosty dust and snow as the spiked claws crushed it within their grip.
Insect and hero smashed into the ground, Freezerburn's now freefalling body landing halphazardly on Kamacuras' abdomen.
Kamacuras gurgled painfully, a portion of ice jutting from her chest still. Even this wouldn't stop her, however, as both of her claws flew up and closed over Freezerburn's torso, pressing their titanic spikes deep into his torso. Freezerburn found his body forced closer to Kamacuras' mandibles, his already wounded throat being brought once again within their reach.

The insect's mandibles once again wrapped around our hero's throat, pressing hard and making more gashes in his skin, but at the same time, the guardian hugged the insect like it was his lover. The insect soon found its entire body freezing, as if being in a freezer. Ice began to form around her body, icicles began to hang from her claws, and her bright green body turned into a blue-ish color from the cold.
Half-frozen, Kamacuras was pretty much powerless as the hero stood up, slowly backed away, rubbed his wounded throat and chest, and then began to shower the insect with balls of fire.

Every cell in Kamacuras' body wailed in pain, and she could do nothing as balls of flame rained down on her body, ripping off chunks of armor. Suddenly, she vanished, the fireballs burning into the street below her.
A series of thuds marked the now invisible insect's presence as her clawed feet punched into the pavement. Her body fizzled back to life, now several blocks away, a distinct slouch now in her gate. Her wings shot outwards and Kamacuras took off like a rocket, aimed at Freezerburn. In an instant, her bulk slammed into the hero's chest, her claws lashing out and closing over his torso, pinning his arms to his side. Kamacuras altered her course and plowed her victim into the ground, pinning him beneath her.
Now, rather than aiming for his throat, Kamacuras squeezed, closing her grotesque claws over Freezerburn's torso, attempting to crush him.

It seemed the insect never learned. Her clamping removed the air from Freezerburn's lungs, but the giant had no problems in increasing his temperature, making him literally boiling Kamacuras' inside. The insect shrieked in pain and leaped off, her entire body smoking and steaming. The hero stood up, pulled off a bitching pose, and targeted the insect to be a victim of a round house kick.

Kamacuras was so stunned by Freezerburn's pose that she was unprepared for the oncomming blow, which connected with her head, cracking a large portion of it and knocking her onto her side.
In an instant, however, she twisted her lower body, swinging both of her hind legs into Freezerburn's face, forcing him to join her on the ground. The mantis was on her feet in seconds, and aiming a guilotine-like blow from both of her upper claws into Freezerburn's spine.

A shower of sparks flew upward as the two claws smashed down on the hero's spine, making the guardian cry out in a pain before he rolled away. His 'armor' was damaged in the spine now, but the insect wouldn't walk out with victory. The creature hissed and crouched low to the ground, shrieking angrily at the blue, red, and silver hero.
The hero snapped his finger with one hand, making a single spark fall to the ground. His other hand came up, making the single spark expand into a column of flames that began to spread outward in a series of columns. The insect shrieked again and was thrown backward, smashing hard against the 'Pyramid Building' that promptly fell on her, giving her an early grave.
Wanting to finish this match, Freezerburn began to spew flames on the rubble, hoping to melt it and seal the insect in.

A massive explosion sent shards of shrapnel in all directions as a distortion in the air shot up, seemingly unfazed by the flames. It darted forward, and in a second, Freezerburn was on the ground, new tears in the flesh covering his face.
Kamacuras halted, hovering in midair and reappeared, her wrist slightly sore from the high speed slap she just delivered. without wasting another moment, she darter forward, claw extended, preparing to deliver another blow.
