I guess I'll go ahead and make my final case arguments here, seeing as how this is the last chance to vote.
Just because Nuvi can control any kind of energy, doesn't mean Darktide will give him anything. If he has to, he'll stick to the Impact Cannons, Hydra Missiles and physical strikes. If Nuvi returns the Hyper NOVA, it's not a big deal. If he returns the Harmonics Disruptor, it's also not a big deal, seeing as how it'll have been calibrated for use specifically against Nuvi's shell.
Nuvi can put the hurt on him, but Darktide's tough and can take a fair amount of punishment, particularly the TiTun2 armor plating beneath the NXT.

I'll put in my final arguments as well.
Nuvi's biggest advantage in this fight is the fact that no matter what is done to him, he will be 100% combat effective until he runs out of energy. Rip of his arm, and he replaces it. Rip of Darktide's arm...and he's down one arm.
Nuvi also has intellect. He doesn't fight on pure instinct. He'll be able to see that Darktide can absorb certain attacks, and will know not to use those attacks again, as well as see which attacks work best.
It's going to be a difficult fight, but one I truly see Nuvi coming out on top of.
Also, to answer Des' question, no, DT won't absorb Nuvi, he absorbs heat, not energy.

I REALLY don't want to be the deciding vote in this, but I must. Both sides provide evidence that makes me dizzy when it comes to picking the winner. However, I believe that Darktide will ultimately prevail. Even if Nuvi sends back Darktide's energy attacks, he'll merely absorb them right back into him. Thus, Darktide would more than likely switch to non energy attacks. Nuvi's energy attacks are at a disadvantage here due to Darktide's armor as well, though there's the chance he can use any type of energy. But it isn't stated if he can or can't, so I'm going to assume he can't. Nuvi may be able to somehow get into Darktide, but I doubt he'll be able to pull it off before he's defeated. Darktide himself is probably gonna be really messed up by the end of this though. Wow, I never want to be the deciding vote again.  |
