Ghidorah's beams are rendered pretty much moot in this battle. All they'll really do is blow some of Sage's plants off, and thanks to Sage's spores, they'll protect him from the actual burning effects caused from the explosions. Ghidorah has one hope in this match: Make an eruption, and that could take him out also, and before he does, I see Sage's various powders making Ghidorah high... entirely. Also assuming Ghidorah can withstand the awesome smells of Sage.

MM said pretty much all of it. Ruin would really mess up Sage, but it won't be enough to stop him if his other attacks do not do enough damage to really harm him.
