Mmm, Musashi's got his work cut out for him here. Here we have a classic speed vs. power scenario. Jericho is a walking powerhouse of a juggernaut. Musashi can hit with demon speed and cut you to ribbons if he so chooses.
Musashi has a disadvantage in that Jericho has no powers he can absorb, he's all ballistics, save his big uber-satellite cannon. But Musashi probably wouldn't survive a hit from that to absorb and use. I see the fight starting with Musashi taking some shots with his sword at Jericho. I really don't think his sword is going to do any significant damage here thanks to the armor, which means he'll have to rely on his ability to control the elements. And that's where the key lies to defeating Jericho.
Wind isn't going to much against Jericho, but there are two ways he can take him down. He can control fire from around the battlefield (a few shots from Jericho's cannons will no doubt create a fire somewhere on the island) and wrap Jericho in it, super heating it to as high a temp as he can get it. Then, he'll douse Jericho with water, cooling it off suddenly and hopefully cracking the armor. I know Jericho's armor is resistant to heat, but I'm still betting that it will take damage if it's molecules are suddenly cooled off after being heated to extreme tempuratures, which Musashi is capable of doing.
The other way is simpler, and will probably be the route Musashi takes: just open up the ground and have it swallow Jericho whole, then bury him and try to crush him, or at least just keep him buried. Jericho can try to blast his way out, but he might take damage from his own weapon.
The above scenario will require Musashi to avoid Jericho's attacks, but considering his speed and skill, I think he can do that.
Musashi takes this.

Musashi is faster on the ground, but Jericho's weaponry can fire at speeds exceeding Mach 40 per shell, or, in the case of the Firestorm Cannons, a such speeds he can easily track Musashi. The samurai's armor is going to be tough, but not impossible to crack, given Jericho's armor-killer capabilities. And those Plasma Gravity Flails are nothing to laugh at either.
Also, concerning your victory scenarios Yaburu, I doubt they'll work. Jericho's heat resistant armor is going to help him survive the fire blast. Because while Musashi is pouring all his efforts into heating and raising the armor's temperature, Jericho is unhindered and free to attack. And if I recall correctly, utilizing his powers for extended periods or for great feats tends to drain Musashi some.
And trying to swallow him in the earth may not work either, as Jericho is capable of flight. He just rarely uses it, although he will if it is the only way to survive.
Jericho does suffer some from ammo limitations, but the Gravity Flails can cover in a pinch. Hell, Jericho is even capable of surviving a close-range blast from his own satellite weapon with minimal damage. And make no mistake, he will level the entire island if that's what it takes to end Musashi.

Actually, it will be. His armor is indestructible. So even if Musashi himself is vaporized by the satellite cannon, for instance, his armor will remain more or less intact...I mean, he'll still be dead...but his armor will be okay! The armor is more or less to lessen impact from blunt force attacks and deflect slashing attacks.
They most certainly are not, but neither is Musashi's sword, and Musashi will have an easier time dodging the flail then Jericho will dodging the sword. With enough hits, Musashi might cut into him.
Oh, I'm quite sure he will. The attack will come from the armor being cooled off very suddenly by water. That's where I'm thinking the damage might be done.
Indeed it does. But that was when Musashi was already very tired from a very hard fought battle with Harbinger. If he tries this early in the fight, it won't take as much out of him.
Musashi might just use all his willpower to shake the whole damn island apart if he needs to. And if he can create a chasm deep enough quickly enough, Jericho's screwed. And if Musashi can SOMEHOW get this fight into the water...He'll be really screwed.
Yeah....one way or another, Monster Island probably isn't going to survive this fight, is it?

Mmph... this is a REALLY tough one for me to decide on. I'd really like to see a big more debating before making a final decision...
However, Musashi's ability to pull off a potentially tide-changing attack relies on him being near water, which, despite this battle taking place on an island, isn't guaranteed. The "open up a fissure under Jericho's feet" thing is always an option, but Jericho is able to fly so that's kind of iffy as well. I also have my doubts that Jericho could be crushed even if he didn't fly away fast enough. BUT if Jericho reacts fast enough to activate his boosters, but doesn't quite make it out of the fissure before Musashi closes it, he could be left partially trapped in the ground, which would leave him quite a bit more vulnerable to attack.
Jericho, on the other hand, will be able to use all of his attacks just as effectively regardless of where they're fighting on the island.
So for the moment, I'm going to side with Jericho.

I was thinking about this yesterday. Musashi has the soul of Miyamoto Musashi within him, and is therefor a very tactically sound kaiju. Once he realizes the battle would go better for him by the water, he's going to head for it and lead Jericho there. He won't think it cowardly to outright run away from Jericho if it's part of his plan. And if he can find a good hiding spot to wait in, all the better for him.

I am gonna vote for Jericho for now. I agree with IR about seeing some more debating in this match. Jericho is equipped with weapons that Musashi can't absorb. He can also dodge the whole "Fissure underneath Jericho's feet" if he reacts fast enough. I guess this match would kinda depend on if Jericho would the Satellite Cannon on Musashi. If he does use it, then I doubt Musashi could withstand a strike from it.
