Pieces of buildings crumble and fall to the ground, where they break into dust. This once bustling metropolis is now seemingly devoid of life, save for some squatters and low-lifes who have taken residence here, away from whatever remains of civilized society.

Once, this was New York City. A source of culture and business. And pizza. Now, it's a source of nothing but shelter for a handful of human scum.

Just a few meters from where the Empire State Building used to stand proudly, a flash of light appears out of nowhere, heralding the arrival of the powerful ruler of Atlantis, GODzilla.

Stepping from his own dimension into this one, he sneers as he looks around. With his bright golden scales and regal air about him, he's as out of place in this dead husk of a city as he can possibly be. But he sensed a Godzilla here in this dimension, or at least something with Godzilla DNA. GODzilla couldn't help but wonder if it was the Godzilla of this dimension who did this.

Not wishing to sully himself in the filth of this place any longer then he has to, he begins his search, letting out a signature call that a Godzilla would respond to...

In the deepest, darkest reaches of Hell itself, a being sensed the presence of this newly arriving God. As the screams of billions filled his head, he searched out his all-knowing mind to see who had come to Earth, the planet he will soon have with just a few more God Souls.

On Earth, in the ruined city known once as New York, the shadows cast forth from dozens of buildings began to spiral around one another like water going down a drain. GODzilla watched on and tilted its head as the pool of shadows began to grow.

"What is this?" The reptile's telekinetic voice rang out in Darklore's mind.

A great figure began to rise up from the blackness. Mace in hand and spears flexing over his shoulders, the infamous God Slayer yelled in glory. GODzilla's maw curled up as Darklore's empty eye socket surged with blue and purple lightning.

Many faces appeared on the God Slayer's black "flesh" and moaned aloud as the demon pointed its mace at the God.

"What... What are you?" The God of Godzillas asked as his brilliant eyes sized up the God Slayer.

"I am they." The creature responded and then remained silent and lowered its mace. A human-like face appeared on his chest and moaned aloud before adding. "And we are him." The face on the demon's chest began to change and morph into that of a female's. "He is us." Darklore's armored head rose up before a deep, dark voice came out. "I am him. I am he. I am Darklore."

The skies above began to clash with thunder and lightning before sending out a thick rain. The God Slayer's head looked up into the storm before falling down and starring into GODzilla's own eyes.

Appearing out of nowhere in the background of the post-apocalyptic NYC comes a squiddy pirate, his beard tugging as his hat as he glances at the two combatants. "The hell's gone up with those New York swags?" he snarls. "Thought they had good pizza here..."

Catching sight of Darklore, who looks a tad bit more gruesome with faces popping out of him now, Davy flips his old foe the bird, which is quite impressive due to his fifty meter finger. Then, deciding to be politically correct for once, he repeats the gesture for GODzilla. That being done, he waves his arm and a giant zombie whore pops outta nowhere, looking decisively unsexually attractive to both kaiju, a rotting 100-meter gray-fleshed melty-wax skinned hollow-eyed ridiculously oversized and droopy and moldy titted monster who looks at the two combatants.

"WHAT ARE JOO LOOKING AT? YAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH," it bellows in a masculine Ah-nald voice.

"Winner gets to screw her, now go kill each other!" Davy snaps, giving them both potential incentive to lose. That being said, he disappears into the rubble to go look for pizza or some shit.

GODzilla's lips curl into a sneer, this new arrival seems familiar, at least to a story he once heard from the Norse God Odin. Legends among the Norse Gods tell of a horrific creature that hunts and kills Gods, and absorbs their essence. It's more of a story to scare little children among the old vikings, but the Norse Gods, particularly Odin, took it seriously.

And while it may be just a tall tale in his dimension, in this one, it seems it's very real.

"Darklore...and you are here to kill me and rob me of my spirit, correct?" GODzilla communicates through his telepathy. "Then come, and try. You'll fail, and fall to my feet."

Unleashing a roar that shook every one of the few humans left here to their core, GODzilla let loose his opening salvo, a powerful blast of energy that slammed right into Darklore's face, propelling him back, and forcing him right through the remains of several buildings as pieces of him were blown away and fell to the ground, where they simply shriveled and dried to dust.

Darklore himself crashed hard to the ground. "Consider that to be a warning shot, God Hunter. You do NOT want to continue this."

Just to make his point, GODzilla fired another "warning shot." The beam laced into the ground and kicked up concrete and dirt with his force before making it's way to Darklore...

As the blast of raw power rips up the ground like something fierce, the beam then strikes Darklore, or it would have. GODzilla's eyes watch on as the beam rips through the ground that Darklore landed on. As smoke and fire danced through the God Slayer's hollow body, the being begins to laugh.

"You can't destroy me." He says with another laugh, "But I destroy everything that he creates." Another female's face appeared on his chest, "He destroys us." She added.

The skies above roared before two bolts of Shadow Lightning leaped forth from its spears. The twin blasts exploded on GODzilla's chest, sending a wall of fire and smoke upward.

"I destroy what he creates." He repeated as his jawed hand came up. The female voice then added "That means he destroys you.".... The Shadow Beam fired.

GODzilla snorts and brings up his shield, looking to block the attack. But he gets quite a shock when the Shadow Beam passes right through his shield and hits him, propelling him back.

After a harsh landing, GODzilla picks himself back up again, shaking off the cobwebs. Great. So his shield won't deflect the attack. Very well.

"Interesting attack Darklore." GODzilla communicates "But it will take FAR more then that to put me down." The Atlantian God stands for a moment, sizing his opponent up. Darklore is a being who specializes in killing gods. So perhaps the best course of attack...is to act less like what he specializes in, and more like a kaiju. This will also give him an opportunity to gauge how physically powerful Darklore is.

Running at his enemy, GODzilla leaps in and clamps his jaws down on the shoulder, and bites...hard. His teeth puncture through, but no blood fills his maw. Yanking back, GODzilla rips a large chunk of Darklore from his body, the piece disintegrating in his mouth.

Pushing him away, GODzilla lets loose another energy attack, hoping to strike before Darklore can hollow his body out again...

"Ughhhh!" the God Slayer shouts aloud as he stumbles back with his body smoking from the impact zone. "You shall pay for that!" He shouts, his words being echoed by countless voices afterward.

The demon stood tall, starring a hole through GODzilla's body before his feet gently lifted off of the Earth. The mighty saurian snarled loudly as his mace pointed into the air and surged with darkness. A bubble of blackness rose from the weapon and continued to float upward until it stayed in place several hundred meters above both titans.

"Can you see in absolute darkness....... Can you see in absolute darkness?" He and his fallen ones asked. "I can..... We can."

GODzilla's head looked from side to side as the black bubble began to spread out in a frightening speed. When it grew closer to the monstrous God, he brought up his arms, expecting pain, but none came. The darkness spread out throughout the ruined city, engulfing it in a limitless, lifeless void that only housed the battling immortals.

"I'm over here...... We're over here." GODzilla's head turned to the side, but he soon felt pain on the opposite side of his face. The God fell to the ground, quickly feeling a stream of blood was running down its head, no doubt from the God Slayer's mace-like weapon.

"And thou shall walk through the valley of the shadow of death... And thou shall walk through the valley of the shadow of death.... Thou shall fear no evil..... Thou shall fear no evil.... Except for me.... Except for us."

Knowing this will be his one chance for this in this pitch blackness, GODzilla lashes out with his hand, towards the sound of Darklore's voice, finding the God Slayer and grasping his throat, hard. Yanking him towards his face, GODzilla communicates.

"You talk to much, God Slayer."

With that, he fire an energy beam point-blank into Darklore's face, holding tightly as he did so. Darklore's skin came of in large chunks as the force of the beam tore him asunder, the full force of the deadly attack striking him dead center.

GODzilla finally relents his assault, and drops the body of his opponent to the ground. Not wanting to let up in the darkness, GODzilla calls forth more energies and lets out an energy pulse from his body...

The sudden surge of power lifts Darklore's form from the ground and sends him backward. As a result of the assault, the darkness dome vanishes into thin air, allowing the God of Godzillas his sight, but something was wrong... Very wrong...

Where Darklore should have been laying, he wasn't. Nothing was there, just ruins of a once great building.

Suddenly, GODzilla let out a loud cry of sheer pain. His legs were pulled off the ground and dangled as Darklore's spears stabbed into the back of his shoulders.

Crimson falls began to rain to the ruined streets and flood the once populated roads. Darklore's sinister body remained silent as he stepped to the side and then pulled his weapons out of GODzilla's shoulders.

The saurian was tossed to the side and snarled aloud, probably a mix of both pain and rage. The deity's head turned and looked at the God Slayer with hate-filled eyes. The skeletal-armored behemoth lifted its jaw-covered hand.

"And now you die..... like us." He and his fallen ones said aloud just before the Shadow Beam fired....

(Okay MM, it's your call if this next part is okay or not. Darklore's attacks can't be stopped by barriers or shields, but GODzilla's ability to catch energy attacks is neither a barrier or shield. In the end, it's your guy, your call.)

Putting both his palms out, GODzilla stops the powerful Darkness attack from harming him, and pushes it aside, redirecting it's fury toward a broken down building. The rubble explodes as it's struck, burying under it several criminals who had been staying there.

Lurching forth and grasping Darklore by the shoulder, GODzilla delivers a thunderous headbutt to the bony helmet of Darklore twice over, then rakes his claws down his enemy, diagonally from the shoulder to the side, and then does the same with his opposite hand, creating three large Xs that overlap each other. Finishing things off with a devastating punch, GODzilla's enhanced power giving the blow enough forced to lift Darklore off the ground and send him careening to the ground some distance below.

GODzilla merely stands, his arms crossed, and a stern look on his face.

(OOC: Nope. I don't see anything wrong with it and I don't see why it couldn't be.)

Darklore placed a fist on the ground and pushed himself back to a standing position. His head looked down at his now decorated body. Several smaller faces appeared throughout the damaged areas.

"We tried that too." The said with mournful voices, "It failed us. It will fail you too. It is pointless to resist."

Darklore's head looked back at the standing God. The ground offered no resistance as the hollow demon began to vanish into the Earth. GODzilla looked around, ready this time. In the blink of an eye, however, Darklore's body burst from the ground and his hand-mounted set of jaws latched onto GODzilla's throat.

"This is how he killed me." One of the voices said aloud.

GODzilla's arms came up, gripping the jaws, before he himself screamed in pain as the Shadow Beam tore away flesh and muscle from its neck and jaws. The vice grip-like hold wasn't enough to hold the force back and GODzilla was sent flying back with a loud, echoing gurgle.

Darklore's arm lowered slowly and his head tilted from side to side.

"So, that's how he killed you eh?" GODzilla communicated as he picked himself up.

"Then you were weak."

GODzilla looks at where Darklore is standing. Right between the remains of the WTC buildings, which for the most part are still standing. In this dimension, the 9/11 attacks must never have happened. Opening his maw, GODzilla unleashes an energy blast at the very base of one of the towers, causing to crumble and fall right on top of Darklore, burying him under thousands of tons of rubble.

GODzilla eyes the ruins...no movement. But he's still there. He fires another blast into the ruins to flush him out...

As GODzilla concentrated its attacks on the heap of rubble, something rose from the ground like the living dead behind him. Darklore, in his hollow state, pulled himself up. Returning to normal, he looked over his body...

Chunks of his "flesh" were gone all over his form, and several of his bone plates were chipped, cracked, and a large gash now adorned the mask.

"You will pay for that..." the dark one says coldly, making the saurian quickly turn around, ready to fire. Instead, however, Darklore's mace was lashed up and forced into GODzilla's open maw.

A gurgle was all that indicated GODzilla's reluctance as Darklore pushed harder, shoving the weapon down GODzilla's throat and cutting the flesh with the shark, miniature spikes that adorn it. GODzilla fell to his knees as red blood gushed from the sides of his snout.

"Do you know the feeling of pain?" The demon sneered as he placed a foot on GODzilla's shoulder and pulled his mace out. GODzilla cried, at once, in utter pain and fell to the side. The God Slayer brought up its weapon, ready to swing it down on his head to finish the job.
