The millions... and millions.. were deafly silent. They awaited the first fighter, but nothing came. As the humans turned to face on another, questioning what was happening... The entrance burst to life.
Rockets and balls of fire flew upward as sounds of drums echoed in everybody's brain. From the darkness, Rosie stepped forward. The crowd burst into cheers as the bipedal, super-strong walrus smashed his right hand on his chest and then threw it into the air.
One of Disturb's songs played loudly, but between the constant sounds of explosions and cheers, it could barely be heard. The beast walked to the ring and waited for the others.

Carcharius, recently endowed with enough intelligence to make a flashy intro, leaps high over the stands of cheering fans and lands, facing Rosie. The walrus had been his contender once, and Carcharius intended to make sure he was victorious this time.
The crowd cheers and chants with the lyrics of Disturbed's "Meaning of Life".
"Get Psycho!" "Get Psycho!"
Carcharius urged the crowd on as he challenged Rosie with a mighty bellow, saliva flying from his toothy maw. Let the beast come. His hunger, and his fury, knew no bounds.

Plate lowered, Gammadon rushed into the arena, sparks and smoke spewing from the gate around him. Hopping forward and stomping the ground hard, he swung his head high, taking his upright stance, and bellowed loudly at the audience. Looking over at his competitors, Gammadon's eyes immediately locked on Rosie. There was a vague memory of magic and lapdances... but mainly fighting. Lots of fighting... And losing. Gammadon narrowed his eyes and snorted, thick strands of drool oozing out from between his giant, protruding fangs. He could almost taste his vengeance now.... and vengeance tasted like walrus.

Tortonne walks under the kaiju-sized Titantron, various explosions and fireworks going off around him as Mudvayne's "Not Falling" blares from the massive speakers situated on and around the structure.
He continues walking toward the other three kaiju that had already gathered. Upon reaching them, he lets out a grunt and smashes his right fist into his left palm.

As the thunderous applause and cheers for the latest arrival to the battle began to die down, the four titans turned their attention toward the entrance to the massive arena. They knew there was to be a fifth participant in this match...but exactly who, or what, remained to be seen.
All of a sudden, the lights in the coliseum faded, immersing everything in darkness. The dull echoes of hushed whisperings amongst the fans carried all throughout the arena...some reactively closed their eyes or covered their ears in anticipation of another bright and explosive entrance, accompanied by the pounding bass-heavy beat of some popular rock song.
So most of them were rather surprised to hear instead the solemn toll of a temple bell, followed by the haunting notes of a pipe organ - and then a wordless choral hymn. Many in the audience were confused, some even disappointed - but some perked up in delight and awe as the recognized the music:
"Resurrection", from the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack.
A brief pause...and then as the chorus started, light finally began to return. But it came slow and steady, not in a series of blinding flashes and fireworks...and the crowds reeled in awe as they registered the presence of a massive silhouette, a crouching shadow against the pale blue light. The figure slowly stood upright, and some could see what appeared to be a short weapon being held in its hand.
With slow, even strides, the titan began to walk toward the now-illuminated ring where its four opponents stood waiting...and as the more dramatic climax of the song began, it finally emerged into the light for all to see: a colossal figure clad in weathered stone armor, carrying what looked like a hatchet or short sword made of stone as well. And the crowd once more set off in applause and cheers - those particular fans of the music especially so - as they recognized the giant: Argus. Sentinel of the Forbidden Land.
As the music drew to a stop, so too did the ancient guardian, standing before his four adversaries. Turning his head this way and that, he silently looked over the group, meeting each one eye to eye...and then uttered a growl as he clasped both hands together, still holding his weapon, and turned it sideways in a defensive grip as he fortified his stance and readied himself for battle.

Before Argus' song could finish playing, Gammadon rushed forward, charging through the spotlight and ramming into Rosie. Stabbing into the walrus' chest with his spike, Gammadon's charge lifted Rosie off his feet. Halting and swinging his head up, he sent the walrus-monster flying through the air, landing on a French-styled building in an explosion of rubble. Gammadon lifted his head and bellowed furiously to the screaming crowd. Paying no need to the "SAVE THE WALRUSES" posters, he charged toward Rosie and siezed him by the back of the neck, lifting him up from the rubble. Lifting his right foot, Gammadon released a powerful kick to Rosie's back, throwing the walrus down to the ground with a loud crack. Shaking his head, strips of walrus hide dangling from his jaw, Gammadon turned to glare at the other combatants. He did have three other enemies here, after all. Turning to face his opponents, Gammadon charged up a noxious ball of gas in his throat and aimed for the best looking target. Carcharius reeled back as the pressurized ball of pure stink exploded onto his face, nearly knocking him over backwards. Gammadon watched as the shark's ultra-keen sense of smell suddenly became a weakness and grunted, satisfied. He lifted his head and let out a challenging bellow as the shark writhed and howled, overpowered by the terrible stench.

Argus' cold blue eyes shifted back and forth amongst his four adversaries, taking stock of the situation as Gammadon's attack ceased. The tusked mammoth Rosie was busy recovering from a brutal attack by the aggressive Gammadon, and the shark-like Carcharius was also temporarily incapacitated, coughing and gagging under a cloud of its enemy's offensive breath. Only he and Tortonne continued to stand at attention, waiting to make a move.
...Giving a huff of irritation and pressing his mask tight to his face to block Gammadon's stench, he ignored Carcharius' misery and strode toward the shelled behemoth, deciding to let the other three deal with each other for now. As he appraised Tortonne's appearance, he could not help but fondly recall a few wrestling matches with brother Basaran...struggling to upend the mighty tortoise--and rarely succeeding. He knew enough about ordinary tortoises to know that they became nigh helpless when turned over on their backsides...but even Basaran had strength enough to roll himself back over when upturned. And this creature had the further advantage of being biped, not quadruped; doubtful that flipping it over would be any major impediment.
The beast took notice of Argus' approach, and snarled threateningly as it readied itself. The ancient titan calmly twirled his cleaver in hand, undaunted...then, as he came within reach, he suddenly came forward and delivered a quick jab with his weapon into Tortonne's armored belly. The blow did nothing more than offset its balance, as he suspected it would--but it also allowed him to reach up with his free hand and snatch it by the neck, pushing his thumb up beneath its chin to restrict its wicked jaws.
Now, to begin doing some actual damage, first he took out its arms by thrusting to the left(Tortonne's right) and punching the tip of his blade square into the joint of its right elbow, causing the limb to cramp up, then thrust back in the opposite direction and smashed the hilt of his weapon right into the funnybone of the creature's left arm, causing it to howl in anguish...and while it was distracted by the pain, Argus roughly forced it down to its knees, then shifted his grip around to the back of its head while still holding its jaw with his thumb, and brutally slammed its face into the ground; then lifted it back up and repeated the process again, and again, to a total of five smashes.
Standing back up, he lifted its bruised and marred snout from the broken asphalt, seeing rivulets of blood already beginning to trickle from its nostrils...and with no sympathy, threw it over one-handed so that it landed upon its back; if for nothing else, to add insult to injury. Then, he stepped over to its side, raised his leg, and delivered such a forceful kick to the side of its skull as to send it spinning in circles upon the ground, limbs flailing in a rather comical sight.
Quite strange, he noticed, that all the while Gammadon seemed content to simply watch, when just a moment ago it was attacking with much eagerness...
No matter. Waiting patiently, gauging the right time to make his move...Argus then suddenly extended his leg and intercepted the bottom of Tortonne's shell with his hoof, bringing its spinning to a halt. He then stomped down on the very base of its tail near the bottom of its shell; not hard enough to do damage, but enough to force the dazed creature upright and bring its bruised and bloodied head about level with his chest. Deftly switching his weapon over to his left hand, he then reared his right fist all the way back and prepared to let fly all the way through with a vicious haymaker to the turtle's snout...

The fans were going wild. Of the millions present, every single soul was shouting out different names. Some screamed "Gamm-a-don!" while others chanted the name of the great Argus. Turtle freaks shouted in unison and preached for Tortonne to fight back and the others were simply shouting one word over and over and over again... "Rosie!..... Rosie!.... Rosie!"
As the walrus laid still, the sounds of his fans brought him back. The horrible stench of Gammadon was still there, but he too remembered their previous battle... Victory tasted great back then, and it will here too.
As the reptile busied itself with Carcharius and watching Argus, the walrus stood up with little attention being given to him. The Klenthurian-made monstrosity flexed his muscles and popped his neck in an awe inspiring cheer. His chest was home to a stream of crimson that snaked down to his groin and dripped to the streets of the arena.
The walrus' brown eyes opened up and he stared at the back of Gammadon. The creature walked over, making the cheers come fourth again as he reached out and spun the dinosaur-like juggernaut around. No sooner than the two came face to face did a mighty punch smash itself into Gammadon's snout. Another punch clobbered the side, followed by a second upper-cut like blow that made the titan stumble back and cough aloud.
Rosie snorted in discomfort from the vile stench, but he had endured it before... and he shall again. Before Gammadon could react and strike back, the walrus' thick hands shot outward and caught the beast's throat.
The dinosaur began to struggle against the two-handed choke hold, but the hold was locked on and soon Rosie was holding Gammadon above the ground. The tail of the creature beat the ground like a drum while its feet moved in patterns as if it were swimming. The titan's eyes rolled back in its head as Rosie increased the hold's strength. Foam began to fall from the sides of the creature's maw before its eyes finally closed and the color was drained from its face.
Satisfied, the beast repositioned himself and brought its right hand away, but still held out with his left. The right pulled Gammadon onto his shoulder while the left grabbed at the stomach and pushed upward. Gammadon now lays horizontally on Rosie's powerful shoulders.
The crowd went nuts... Even Argus had to look over in awe as the walrus spun around once, showboating to the fans as his muscles strained to keep the weighted kaiju up.
After a few seconds of this, the weight became to much and Rosie was forced to finished. He decided to use the massive spike on Gammadon's back to his advantage. The walrus looked to be slamming the dinosaur down, but instead he made the monster fall at such an angle that its huge growth stabbed into the ground and anchored it in place.
The saurian was regaining consciousness and quickly began to struggle, but it was of no use. He was stuck in the ground by his own horn. Ready to return the previous favor, Rosie stepped back and flexed his muscles and finegrs... His dagger-like claws, made to crush blocks of ice, drew steadily closer to Gammadon's upside down stomach and chest.

Carcharius was probably the least worst off, having just endured a blast of Gammadon's stink, but not much else. And blood had already been spilled, peaking his interest. Saliva and anti-coagulant dripped from his toothy maw as he tackled Rosie from behind, sending the titanic walrus crashing to ground.
Carcharius lifted his talons and began slashing and clawing, drawing all manner of blood from numerous gashes in Rosie's hide. The walrus roared in agony as Carcharius sank his fangs into the beast's shoulder before ripping loose, snagging a hunk of bloody flesh. Rosie's wounds continued to bleed profusely from the anti-coagulant, the scent of blood driving the shark wild.
"FEEDING FRENZY," the crowd shouted as Carcharius bellowed to the world, leaving Rosie for the moment to focus on another.
Argus was too much rock and fur for his taste, but he had heard that turtle soup was quite tasty, and with that, the mutant rushed Tortonne, taking the reptile by surprise as he hefted him up before slamming him back down, leaving his armored belly exposed. Carcharius dug hsi claws into the gaps near where the legs sat, hoping to dig the behemoth out of his protective prison...

Of course, Tortonne is in no mood to be turned into an entree. He smashes his hands on the sides of Carcharius' face, stabbing his claws deep into the flesh of its snout. Brucezilla snarls and recoils, giving Tortonne some space to get back up. With Carcharius distracted for the moment, Tortonne shifts his attention to Argus. With a bellowing roar, he lumbers toward the colossus.
The stone-armored giant hears him coming, but by the time it turns around to face him, it's too late to do anything. Tortonne swings his arm, slamming the armored back of his hand into the side of Argus' face. The force of the blow sends bits of the mask flying and spins Argus a full 360 degrees. Once Argus finishes the rotation, Tortonne lunges forward and wraps his arms around the giant's waist. With a grunt, he lifts Argus off its feet before promptly slamming it back down on the pavement and landing on top of it himself (Spinebuster).
Now that Argus has been layed out, Tortonne stands back up and looks back over at Carcharius. The shark monster is starting to regain its composure by this time. So Tortonne decides to strike first. He rushes Carcharius, grabbing its snout with one and and pulling its head down, then raising his other fist up and bringing it down on the back of the monster's skull. The moment his fist connects, he releases Carcharius' snout, allowing the force of the blow to send the shark to the ground, where its head bounces off the pavement.
With that, Tortonne picks up a nearby building and chucks it at Argus.

As the building crashes against Argus, a loud grunt catches Tortonne's attention. As the turtle turns around, he soon wishes he hadn't. Standing behind him with a chunk of the floor stuck to his spike, Gammadon suddenly swings his body to the left, slamming the chunk of arena into the side of Tortonne's head like a colossal sledgehammer. The giant chunk of debris shatters into a million pieces, exploding against the kaiju's head and throwing him down to the ground.
Glancing down briefly to make sure that the turtle was out of his way, Gammadon stepped forward snarling- his eyes still fixed on Rosie. He wasn't done with the walrus yet, not hardly- how dare it walk away from him. With a hungry roar, Gammadon lunged at the piniped punk and slammed his jaws shit where it hurt the most.
Rosie howled in agony as Gammadon heaved back, his mouth full of hair. The walrus reeled back and voiced it's pain and rage as the full effect of the assault donned on him- Gammadon had devoured his doo!
Gulping down his foe's mohawk, Gammadon lowered his head, the sharp plates on his back overlapping and covering him like a shield. He rushed forward, spine horizontal to the ground, and rammed his foe, plunging his weapon into Rosie's gut. A fountain of blood erupted as the enormous blade jabbed through the walrus' thick, blubbery hide and shoved him backwards. Rosie toppled over, landing on top of a small cafe and crushing it under his weight.
As his foe lay still, Gammadon took a moment to survey the arena- the only other monster currently standing was Argus. Working his jaw up and down, Gammadon built up his attack. Opening his toothy maw, Gammadon belched loudly, but with an extra twist. Rocketing towards Argus' head, trailing horrific stink, shot a semi-digested hairball made of Rosie mane...

Short-and-sweet version: After intercepting Gammadon's belch-bomb, I threw my weapon up and knocked a hole out of the ceiling to use the Light of Heaven, then burned a patch of Gamma's stomach(think how you'd burn ants with a magnifying glass), sliced a few marks into that patch with the hilt of my hatchet, and finally slammed the actual blade part of the weapon into his stomach...then picked him up and threw him over to Rosie.
---
The hysterical screams and cheers from the crowd all around them made it nigh impossible to hear anything else going on in this massive arena, including the noisy and thunderous activity of Argus and his fellow giants. It would have been easy now for any one of his opponents to sidle up from behind, and deliver a fatal takedown without him ever knowing it. He needed to remain constantly alert and vigilant if he was to survive this battle...even now, dazed after having a building shattered into rubble over his back, he realized this.
Slowly standing back up, he reached up to his face and resituated his mask, slightly cracked from Tortonne's retaliation...his facial features wrinkled in disgust, and his pale blue eyes briefly flickered orange as he could now rather easily detect Gammadon's repulsive odor.
And the source of it seemed to be getting closer.
...
Argus suddenly raised his right leg, half-turned on his other heel, and sharply kicked out, hoping to catch his erstwhile foe by surprise before it could do the same to him. But his armored hoof didn't meet with thick, scaled skin: it met a condensed sphere of abominably noxious intestinal fumes, and...what looked disturbingly like the fur of an animal's hide, congealed in a layer of thick and slimy spittle.
Then, to his further surprise, the ball of pure stink burst as his foot struck it, sending the atrocious fumes spreading in all directions. Argus hastily withdrew his leg and maneuvered back several paces, hoping the crack in his mask wouldn't allow the offensive gas to reach him as he pressed it tight against his face with his free hand. Through the thinning cloud of toxic stench, he could see Gammadon glaring at him...the corners of its mouth seemed to be twisting into a smirk.
Very well: if this beast wanted a piece of him, then a piece of him it would get. Deftly twirling his hatchet into a reverse grip and keeping his other hand pressed to his mask, the sentinel hunched over and lurched into a plodding run, charging straight through the haze of foul gas to quickly approach his new enemy. The malodorous monster stood its ground as he approached, clearly unconcerned by the fact that Argus was about to, as the humans might say today, "bring the pain"...
The colossus roared from behind his mask and hand as he swung a quick and powerful swing of his weapon toward Gammadon's head - and nearly lost hold of the hatchet as it practically bounced off the enemy's skull, leaving nary a mark. Its head tilted a bit to the side, but slowly came back as if it hardly even felt the blow. Its lips furled in what seemed to be a grin.
Argus' grip tightened upon his weapon...and the hue of his star-shaped eyes mutated from blue to orange, signaling the ancient one's anger. Taking his free hand away from his mask, he suddenly came forward and delivered a rough shove to Gammadon's face, sending it toppling over onto its back. He pinned down its tail with his foot...then, hunching over again and bracing himself, with another mighty roar, he hurled his stone weapon straight up into the air, toward the ceiling of the massive arena!
The crowds leaned back and gaped in awe as the weapon flew higher and higher, spinning the whole way - and knocked out a fair chunk of the ceiling high above, allowing a spotlight of natural illumination to shine down upon Argus and Gammadon. As bits of debris rained sporadically around them, the sentinel raised his hand without even looking upward - and easily caught his weapon.
Lowering his arm now, not bother to shift his grip on his weapon yet, the colossus bowed its head as it glared into Gammadon's blood-red eyes...and then its own orbs suddenly faded into blank and empty hollows. The enemy grunted in confusion at this, and confusion mutated to apprehension as it saw the stone titan's hands closing into fists...not to mention, the bit of daylight shining through the hole in the ceiling seemed to be growing brighter...
All of a sudden, Argus' eyes pulsed a brilliant white flash - and the growing light shining down immediately coalesced and focused into a pair of thin, pure beams boring right down on Gammadon's prone form. The beast grunted, then cried out in sudden pain and surprise as the tightly-focused beams of light burned against its tough and resilient hide, causing wisps of smoke to drift from the areas they scorched. The monster wriggled and thrashed, trying to escape the painful beams, but it couldn't easily escape with Argus pinning it down by the tail; and the ancient one easily kept the rays of immortal brilliance aiming where he wanted them aimed, burning and searing a patch of the creature's skin right over its damnable stomach.
With this done, the beams of light finally withdrew, and Argus' eyes returned to normal, including their passive blue tint. But that didn't mean he was finished attacking: now taking his weapon by the handle after catching it by the blade, he reached down, grasped Gammadon's arms and pulled them apart as they futilely clutched at its scorched belly, and before it could respond to this, he brought his weapon to bear - and instead of striking with the "blade" which actually lacked a finely-honed edge, delivered three swift and successive blows with the small and thin edge of the hatchet's pommel. Each blow succeeded in slicing through the weakened hide where he'd burned it with the Light of Heaven, carving a mark in the rough shape of a six-pointed star. He at last finished the assault by shifting his weapon into a reverse grip, raising it high in both hands, and now slamming the blade into the center of the wounded flesh, successfully sinking it in.
Gammadon howled in pain, futilely beating its limbs against the ground...Argus shook his head and tried to ignore the dizzying stench wafting from the living biohazard's mouth as he kept his grip on his hatchet, and actually pulled the enemy up with him, keeping it stuck on the end of his weapon as he raised it up from the ground. Turning his head and searching for a second, he spotted where the beast known as Rosie was recovering again from the pain Gammadon had visited upon it...and before the monster could raise an arm to attack him, he twisted his upper body back while lifting a leg from the ground to give himself further tension, then lurched into a quick spin and hurled the thick-skinned mutant off of his blade, sending it tumbling and skidding across the streets of the makeshift city to come to rest near the tusked behemoth. Having seen how eager those two seemed to attack each other, best to let them do so for the time being.
Besides, he was nigh certain that Tortonne would come back for him yet; and the fewer foes he had to face at any one time, the better.
