The Kaiju Fighting League uses the basic Normal Rules and Enhanced Rules that the Arena uses. The rules chosen for a match will depend on the players in the matches and the kaiju being used. Naturally, a fight that is expected to be up close and personal will, more than likely, get an Enhanced ruling while distance fighting will get normal. There will always be exception to this, however.
The big difference in matches is that other players are capable of interfering. Interfering in a match is rather simple. Players can contact me (or the ref of the match) asking for permission to interfere in a certain match and attack a single kaiju or the group. Interfering in a match can not last more than five posts. Once five posts is up, the player must retreat and allow the match to continue normally.
Players can interfere in a match only once a month and can't interfere in the same match more than once. Likewise, if a kaiju has already interfered in a match, another player can't choose to either.
Interference is made to set up possible rivalries and friendships between players. It is all to be in the name of fun, so don't take things personal when someone does it to you, because you, in turns, can return and do it to them. Interferences will, almost always, result in a match being made between the attacker and the victim(s). Not every match will be able to have interference.
Another change from the Arena is the arenas of battle. The KFL arena is set up much like a massive coliseum with a city-wide ring in the center. This is, more or less, just for fun for those that wish to do so. The coliseum is filled with millions of people. Likewise, the arena is also outfitted with a kaiju-sized titantron (from WWE) that, if the player chooses again, can play specific themes for fun. The ring itself can turn into a different battle style that will be decided based on the kaiju in play. The different styles are:
- City
-- New York City
-- Tokyo
-- Paris
-- Los Angeles
- The Arctic
- Egyptian Desert
- Volcanic Island
- Small Island Chain
- Amazon Jungle
- Ogasawara Trench
- Grand Canyon
- Great Plains
- Himalayan Mountains
Kaiju can not leave the area and attack the coliseum of watchers or attack them in general with beams.
