A violent tremor tore through the ground beneath the bay. An unnatural volcanic activity had been instigaged by the moving body of burning flesh. The bayfloor swelled up, glowing orange with heat, molten rock beginning to form. Then, it cracked open in a massive burst of dust and lava. Rygama's great form erupted from the sands, allowing fresh, salty water to envelop her. The orange glow faded from her armor as she left the ground.
A massive foaming, in unison with a pillar of steam signalled her arrival to the surface world. Rygama brought her head up above the surface and surveyed her newest destination. It wasn't as pretty as Sydney, but it would do.

Attracted by the sudden disturbance in the earth's crust, as well as the great expulsion of heat, Valcanus came surging through the earth, heading straight for Rygama. Burrowing rapidly under the city, the roads and small, unsupported buildings behind him crumbled into the earth, crashing in great smoky clouds. The raised mound of earth marking his position abruptly stopped, just before the bay, allowing the raised debris to waft gently through the air and into the water. Valcanus burst out of the water, his fiery body boiling the water around his feet. He stretched his powerful arms and bellowed furiously, gouts of steam surging from his vents in a raging display. As far as he was concerned, Seattle was his- his to burn, that is. Nevertheless, Rygama was a tresspasser on his territory, and that would not be tolerated.

Rygama stood upright, hauling her great mass farther out of the water, exposing her thin, snakelike belly to the city. Water poured from her perpetually open jaws as her lidless, violet eyes fixed on the challenger. If this beast fancied a go, then she'd give it one. With a rattling hiss, the mutated mosasaurid lowered her head and charged with shockin speed. She cleared the distance in secounds, plowing her rigid skull into the mineral monster's abdomen, picking it up in her momentum and shoving it back with tremendous force. The fiery beast hadn't even a moment to react as it was smacked off its feet and sent flying several blocks inland, coming to a half via a collision with a particularly spacey skyscraper. Rygama lumbered ashore, letting the warm water flow off her armor in great torrents as she watched the massive structure collapse on top of her challenger. If this beast wanted to make an ass of itself, Rygama would happily humor it.

As smoke billowed from the collapsed structure, a minor tremor spread through the ground. It lasted only for a few moments, strengthening and weakening in rhythm before ceasing entirely.
The ground beneath the intruders feet practically exploded. A massive burst of fire and magma blew apart the earth as Valcanus ripped through the surface and reached out with his red-hot claws. The lava surged around him as he rose up, one burning paw raised high above his head. With one powerful swipe he brought down his arm, slamming his clawed hand into the beast's head. Though it seemed to resist his flames, the insectoid exoskeleton that covered the monster was no match for his ultra-hard claws. They pierced through the chitinous covering and hit bone before the force of the swipe threw the intruder down, head first, into the ashy dirt. Valcanus glanced at his claws, watching the blood on them instantly dry and burn off. He clenched his fists and snorted, taking a fighting stance. The Battle for Seattle was on.

Rygama snorted as she climbed to her feet. Drool fell from her perpetually gaping maw. Though the meaning of the unintentional pun was lost to her, she was nonetheless certain; Things were about to heat up.
Like greased lightning, she lashed out, her monstrous claws already extended. Before Valcanus could even acknowledge her blow, Rygama's claws had imbedded themselves in his abdomen. Rygama quickly closed her other claw around the fiery beast's neck, gaining a tight grip before hefting the monster high into the air, over her head, then back into the ground in a mighty arc. Valcanus finally got the second he needed to snarl in outrage, a moment before his rocky mug was slammed into the street, passing right through it without even slowing down. Rygama continued to swing the colossal body, however. Valcanus found the entirety of his form literally forced against his will through the earth, carving out a shockingly large ditch into the dirt as his face finally broke the surface again. Rygama released the fiery titan from her clutches, allowing him to drop onto his stomach, half buried in a trench of carved out cement and dirt. Lava quickly pooled around him, from the melted rock. Rygama, however, wasn't done. She had learned by now what happened when one let up. She took a step back, then leaped as high as she could, leaning forward and doing a sortof somersault in mid-air, bringing her grotesquely spiny carapace to bear, ready to plow right on top of the lava monster's spine! Valcanus' prone form was about to recieve the iron maiden treatment.

Valcanus' fireball gaze shifted over to the approaching iron maiden, but he made to effort to avoid it. Instead, the burning golem heaved upwards into the attack. As Valcanus stood up, Rygama's spines hit their mark, sinking into his chest. Valcanus roared, stumbling back, barely keeping his balance. The monster was heavy- very heavy. But Valcanus was strong and sturdily built- though it strained him immensely, he managed to stand under the extra weight, albiet greatly slumped. With his enemy now pressed against him, spines stuck in his rocky body, Valcanus wrapped his arms around her waist, embracing the intruder with a terrible bear hug. Valcanus pulled in his arms as hard as he could, squeezing the monster's relatively thin waist. Valcanus could hear sections of her exoskeleton cracking under the pressure. Her internal organs were going through hell by now, he was certain. Pushing his strength and his luck to their limits, he Lifted her up higher, heaving Rygama up and then, sighing smoke in relief, released his grip. Hesitantly, her spines slipped out from his chest, pulled down by the weight of their unsupported owner. Rygama dropped, landing on her back with a soft thud. Valcanus groaned and slowly closed one of his fists, summoning a geyser of lava from below, planning to launch her off the ground...

Rygama snarled, rolling onto her stomach, not a moment before the ground where she had been lying on a moment ago erupted in a monstrous geyser of lava. The mutated mosasaurid paid little heed as a spash of lava coated her face. Instead, she turned and glared at Valcanus, climbing to her feet. A gleam lit up in her eyes, as she chose her next action. In an instant, her right hand lashed out, claws extending to full length. Valcanus had little time to react as the blades sliced into and through his abdomen, spilling a waterfall of lava. Rygama leaped back, hopping beyond an arm's reach as a precaution. Valcanus' belly was now the proud host to two sickeningly deep gashes. With nary a second's more pause, Rygama's head ducked low and she charged, aiming to bury her rigid skull into Valcanus' abdomen and send him flying again.

Abdomen steaming and eyes bursting with fiery defiance, Valcanus took a heavy step forward and swung down with one of his rock-hard fists, striking the side of Rygama's head with an earthshaking right hook. The blow threw her off her feet and spun her body, sending her falling over on her back in a cloud of dust. Valcanus opened his jaws wide and roared, jets of black smoke gushing from his back. He circled the downed monster warily, anxiously moving his claws, anticipating her retaliation.

Rygama remained motionless, at least for as long as it took for Valcanus' path of orbit to place him in just the right spot.
Valcanus was semi-surprised when Rygama's hefty foot collided with his chest, throwing him a good distance backwards and onto his back. Rygama quickly climbed back to her feet. This enemy was strong, without a doubt. However, strength was where she excelled. Deciding on a simple strategy, Rygama charged Valcanus' downed form, brought her arm up, and jumped right over the prone monster. Her elbow was pointed right at his chest in a piledriver of colossal proportion.

Valcanus bellowed and reached out, shoving her pointed elbow out of the way. The rest was inevitable. Though her method of attack had been thwarted, her massive bulk was still falling. Valcanus exhaled a gust of steam as she landed on top of him, shaking the ground and pinning him down. Valcanus stretched out his arm, grabbing hold of the back of her neck and driving his claws through her plated hide. With a grunt, Valcanus pulled her over and off, pushing her face down into the dirt and debris next to him as his claws sank in deeper. He ripped his claws out and hurried to his feet, standing up and taking a few cautious steps back.

Rygama pounded her claws into the ground, hoisting herself into a quadrapedal stance and arching her tail around. She glared at Valcanus for the second it took her to swing her rear end around, bringing her spine-coated tail in an arc, bashing the jagged spines into Valcanus' neck. The elemental beast gasped a steamy cloud as its thick armor was cracked by the flail-like impact and it body was knocked off balance. Valcanus staggered, allowing Rygama to leap upright and pounce on her foe. Valcanus quickly found Rygama's giant claws dug into his shoulders and his body hefted off the ground. Rygama snarled as she hoisted the comparibly lightweight creature off the ground and swung him around. Her claws tore free from his shoulders, sending the elemental flying towards the bay, a mist of smoke surrounding his wounded upper body.

Valcanus stood up, unfazed by the shallow water that was boiling around him. It didn't even cover his feet. The intruder was strong, Valcanus would give her that. She seemed to be a worthy enough adversary... but it'd be a cold day in hell when Valcanus would stand down to an organic. Placing one hand on the ground and assuming a football player stance, Valcanus launched off the ground and charged towards Rygama. As Valcanus ran, he stretched out his right arm, clenching his claws together into a fist. As he rushed, Rygama no doubt expected the arm to extend towards her for a punch. But it was a fake-out. Valcanus kept his arm outstretched and didn't stop running. The earth behind Rygama burst open as a high-pressure lava geyser shot into her back and thrust her forward, right into Valcanus' arm. Fire and earth burst in every direction as Rygama was forced into the most unpleasant closeline the (doomed) citizens of Seattle had ever seen. Rygama dropped on her back with a thunderous crash, raising more dirt and dust into the air. Valcanus skidded to a halt, turned around, and roared sulphurous smoke.
