Riptide threw his arms in front of hsi face, as the beam rippled harmlessly across the Barrier Fields he had erected there. Scorpadon hissed in fury, but the machine wasn't done yet. If this beast wanted to play rough, then so be it.
Riptide rushed Scorpadon, ducking low under the spear arms at the last second, before tackling the beast and gripping him by the midsection. His engines roared to life as he pushed forward, smashing through building after building, using Scorpadon as a battering ram of immense proportions. Jagged rubble and metal impaled themseles on the creature's armored back, befor eRiptide finally released hsi catch, sending Scorpadon tumbling through a few more buildings, before coming to rest in a pile of rubble.
Riptide waited until Scorpadon had started to clear himself loose, bloody and battered though he was, before taking aim with all three cannons...

Riptide, the huge insect, had much different plans. As he laid down, his body began to bury itself into the ruins, and just as the beams fired, he was gone. Riptide roared in rage and scanned the area, but the monster, the beast.. was gone!
The mech roared in triumph, but just as it started.. It stopped. A shower.. No.. a fountain of spark, fire, smoke, and metal was thrown high into the air. The people watching looked on in awe as Scorpadon's tail vanished into the ground.. With the tail stabbed deep in Riptide's back.
Seconds passed and the tail pulled back, letting Riptide slump forward on one knee and hand. The tail, as fast as it emerged, returned back to the ground. As Riptide looked around.. The tail emerged from the ground n the side... Will the strike come again..?

Riptide was too badly damaged to dodge in time, as the stinger implanted itself in his side. However, he wasn't so far gone that he could not fight back. He gripped the stinger in one hand, and shot the Electroshock Cable into the weakened armor plating at point blank, once again electrcuting the mess out of Scorpadon. The giant insectoid amalgam burst from the ground, howling in agony, as a second cable pierced hsi own flank before offloading it's electrical charge.
Riptide practically depleted hsi power reserves in an attempt to thouroughly fry the bug, and it seemed to work too. Scorpadon collapsed in a heap, smoldering from the inside where he had been essentially cooked alive. Riptide needed to finish this, and fast. He pulled himself to his feet, acutely aware of how much damage he had sustainted, before dropping back to one knee, Plasma Cutter ready to decpaitate his foe...

Ah, nice brutal match. You both quite thoroughly beat the hell out of each other. But in the end, I'm gonna have to give this to Riptide. Being a mech, half of Scorpadon's weapons were mostly useless against him, and he still had a defense against the weapons that weren't. Scorpadon, on the other hand, had to deal with the full force of Riptide's arsenal. And that made enough of a difference to tip the scales in Riptide's favor.
So, Riptide, you may finish your opponent at your leisure.

Scorpadon made no move to avoid the blow, and soon, his severed head was lying next to the smoking stump of his neck. Riptide, albeit badly damaged, roared in triumph, as he kicked the head aside, before lifting off to return to base for some much needed repairs...
