Tyrant Godzilla vs Gojulas Giga
Arena: Rainforest (Thunderstorm)
Rules: None
Lightning flashed across the darkened skies, briefly illuminating the massive frame of the Gojulas Giga. The machine had found itself transported to this world by unknown means, like so many more before it. While the terrain superficially resembled that of his own world’s, the complete lack of communications with the outside world proved that it wasn’t. Still, he needed to find a way to re-establish a link with HQ. As he trudged through the thick jungle growth, lightning illuminated a form in the distance. The machine could quickly tell that it wasn’t friendly.
Tyrant Godzilla sneered as he watched the Gojulas. He too had ended up in this miserable backwater of a world, and with nothing to rip up or destroy for miles around, he was bored. But this new thing would be his toy. He loosed a mighty bellow at the robot, as lightning flashed across the skies, showing both combatants in all their monstrous glory. Rain began to pelt the area, quickly threatening to swell and overflow the nearby river. The wind howled as the storm mounted, each titan preparing to end the other’s existence.
Godzilla roared again as his dorsal spines flashed with light, quickly growing in intensity as a glowing aura gathered in his mouth. The Gojulas stood his ground, for the moment, seemingly oblivious to the danger. But the machine wasn’t stupid, and knew what to expect. He had seen and dealt with creatures like this before. Tyrant Godzilla craned his neck back, then snapped it forward, blasting a gout of plasmatic energy at the mech. But the machine sidestepped, rather nimbly for something so large, and countered. A thunderous blast shook the area as the Giga Cannons discharged, launched their payloads at his adversary. Godzilla roared as the shells slammed into his chest, blasting him backwards with a pair of small craters in his chest. His armor was tough, and had absorbed the brunt of the impact, but now smoke obscured his vision.
The Gojulas took advantage of the brief reprieve and charged, lowering his body to a horizontal position suited for speed. His clawed feet pounded trees to splinters as he charged forward in the rain, slamming his huge bulk into Godzilla’s before clamping his jaws down on the saurian’s shoulder. Godzilla snarled as the mechanical fangs buried themselves in his flesh, drawing blood far faster than expected as they squeezed tight. This foe was clearly very strong. Which was good. He needed a challenge. Tyrant Godzilla concentrated, using his powerful telekinetic abilities to subtly control the Giga’s movements at first, before forcing his will on the machine’s structure. Gears and pistons stopped, squealed in protest, and began to reverse, opening the Giga’s jaws just wide enough to allow the saurian to escape. With a roar, Godzilla pivoted on his ankle, striking the Giga across the chest with his tail, sending the machine staggering backwards with the force of the blow. Even the Giga’s own 150,000 ton bulk was no match for the strength of the massive reptile.
The Giga quickly regained his stance though, and countered with his own tail strike, the energized blades lacerating a wide mark across the tyrant’s chest. The wounds cauterized over, preventing them from healing, a fact which the Giga took notice of. Godzilla roared in rage as he clutched his chest, but did not relent his assault. He lunged at the Giga, and the two locked hands, each attempting to crush the other. The Gojulas slammed his jaws shut, again and again, each time missing mere inches from Godzilla’s face. The nuclear saurian was strong, but the Giga was stronger. Godzilla began sliding backwards under the immense strength of this machine. His dorsal spines flickered with light as the tell-tale aura gathered in his throat. Godzilla opened wide, ready to bathe the Giga’s face in hot plasma, when the Giga let go, causing Godzilla to lurch forward at the last second from his own attempts at holding back the Giga. The blast discharged, scorching the thicker armor plating on the Gojulas’ chest, but still dealing relatively little damage. Like his opponent, the machine could also soak up damage. The Giga slammed his jaws shut on Godzilla’s shoulder once again, this time twisting and tearing at the flesh, ready to rip the arm clean off if possible. Godzilla could feel his bones giving way under the immense pressure, and reacted purely on instinct, discharging another plasma blast at the Giga’s face. The machine’s vision blurred as the explosion engulfed his head. Smoke rose from charred armor as the Giga was forced back, rather than having to deal with another such attack.
Godzilla bellowed in triumph as the Giga backed off, seemingly in retreat. He crouched low, as if in preparation for a tackle. The truth was far more sinister. Godzilla levitated off the ground, using his telekinesis to spin his body in place like a giant buzzsaw. The Giga roared in surprise and fired his Giga Cannons at the reptile, but the blasts were repelled by the spinning ball of death, as Godzilla launched himself at the mech. His dorsal spines, already strong, were made into formidable slashing weapons by his speed, as they shredded the Giga’s armor with relative ease, the force of the impact bowling the Gojulas over. Sparks erupted from a set of deep gashes in his armor as he tried to stand, rolling over to his feet and rising slowly. Godzilla skidded to a stop behind him, roaring in triumph again, as he prepared to fire another plasma stream at the machine. But the Giga had sensors that allowed him to prepare an appropriate response. He sidestepped at first, before pivoting and turning to face Godzilla, his body now parallel to the ground. A pair of foot locks slammed into place, anchoring the machine to the ground, as a powerful electrical charge gathered in his dorsal spines. Lightning flashed and thunder rumbled, but nothing compared to the discharge of thirty-two bolts of raw electrical energy. They arced slightly before lancing directly at Godzilla, striking the tyrant full in the chest with deadly force.
Godzilla roared in agony as the electricity pulsed through his body, highlighting his imposing visage with ghostly power. Smoke rose from charred patches on his flesh. His wounds were healing, but he could do nothing for the pain. Nothing that is, except retaliate. He summoned all his power, forcing his mind to its limits as he reached out towards the Giga, lifting the massive machine from the drenched forest, raising high over the canopy, raising him over Godzilla’s own head. The Gojulas struggled on his back, hundreds of feet in the air. Godzilla smirked as he dropped his catch, sending his opponent crashing to the ground with a resounding thud that flattened trees all around him. Rather than let his foe even think of retaliating, Godzilla lifted the Gojulas again and slammed him into the ground, flattening more of the local flora that had survived the battle thus far. He roared again as the Gojulas struggled to rise to his feet, his armor scratched and dented, but still quite intact. A number of deep gashes still remained, but he couldn’t worry about that now. Godzilla’s wounds were healing now, and soon they wouldn’t even show scars. The machine aimed to rectify that.
He loosed a harsh mechanical cry as his Giga Cannons thundered again, striking the reptile once again in the chest. Blood and tissue were vaporized in the ensuing explosions, widening the already bloody craters in his chest from the previous assault. Godzilla snarled as he clutched his chest, but managed to hold his ground this time. But nothing could prepare him for what happened next. The Gojulas Giga shifted his stance, footlocks slamming into place, as his dorsal spines crackled with energy, mere moments before he discharged massive bolts of raw electrical power into Godzilla’s body. The lightning homed in a little, striking Godzilla’s wounded chest, blasting free more of the less dense tissues of the dermis. Godzilla roared in agony as the Gojulas charged forward, slamming into Godzilla’s body once more, this time clamping his jaws down on Godzilla’s arm and slamming his catch to the ground.
Godzilla grunted on impact as the massive machine moved quickly, planting his foot on Godzilla’s shoulder and drawing upwards on the arm. Godzilla’s muscles and tendons screamed as they were stretched to their limits, the machine threatening to pull his arm right out of the socket. He cried out again and again as he struggled against the Giga, but it was no use. The machine’s jaws were locked tight, and the struggling only made things worse. His skin split from the stress, as blood ran in rivulets down his arm. He focused his mind, attempting to split the Giga’s jaws in some shape or fashion, hoping to free himself. Using his telekinesis trained him though, and the more force he exerted, the weaker he became. But he had no choice. However, rather than opening the jaws, he focused on the head itself, and began to squeeze. The Gojulas noticed the effects immediately, as the mighty Keizar born powers on the nuclear saurian crushed the armor plating and electronics on his head. One of the lenses over his eyes shattered under the strain, and the Gojulas was forced to relent, less Godzilla use his powers to permanently put an end to him.
Godzilla panted with exertion as he struggled to his feet, watching the Gojulas warily. His arm hung limply at his side, strained, but useable. The Gojulas’ facial armor was crushed and dented in a way no mere physical strike could ever do. Circuitry sparked behind the shattered frame of one eye, as the Gojulas roared in fury at the reptile. Godzilla bared his fangs in a feral snarl as he levitated off the ground once more, spinning in place as he rose. His dorsal spines flashed as he spun, augmenting their cutting abilities by superheating them. The Gojulas stood his ground as Godzilla dashed forward, scything the air like a demented buzzsaw. At the last moment, the Gojulas spun on his ankle, blocking the spinning saurian with his tail blades. They too glowed with power, as their respective weapons clashed and sparked against one another. But the machine was slowly giving way under the force of the spinning titan. He had one shot, and he aimed to take it. He spun again, sending Godzilla tilting aside, as eh brought his Giga Cannons to bear. Their thunderous roar shook the rainforest as the shells slammed into Godzilla, striking him in that one vulnerable second where his belly was exposed. Godzilla was catapulted away before slamming into the trees, carving a swathe of destruction before dropping into the river. The banks overflowed from the displacement, drowning the trees in bloody water.
But the fight was not to won so easily. Godzilla erupted from the churning waters, roaring in a combination of pain and fury. Blood flowed from his heavily damaged chest, but his dorsal spines glowed with power as he snapped his neck forward, discharging another plasma stream at the Gojulas. The machine reeled from the blast as searing hot plasma burned a hole in his armor. Again and again, Godzilla fired until the Giga buckled under the assault, exposed circuitry showing where the plasma had eaten through his seemingly impenetrable armor. Godzilla roared again, but faltered, clutching his chest. His regeneration was powerful, but not omnipotent. And his telekinesis had weakened him some. He would have to end this soon.
The Gojulas Giga rose, his systems damaged, but still intact. He too realized that the end drew near, and quickly hit on a plan to eliminate this threat once and for all. The rain continued to drown the forest as they stared down for this final confrontation between flesh and steel.
The Gojulas roared, as thunder and his Giga Cannons roared with him, but Tyrant Godzilla just stood there, smirking. He had rarely ever tried this before, but now was not the time to be timid. He focused, snagging both cannon shells out of mid-air with his telekinesis, watching them sit their in the air as a seemingly confused Gojulas Giga roared back at him. Tyrant Godzilla roared in response as he slung the shells with deadly force back at their owner, each one slamming into the Giga's wounded head. Armor and circuitry disentigrated under the explosion as the Giga reeled back. When the smoke cleared, the machine's head was mostly gone.
Tyrant Godzilla bellowed in triumph, as a powerful slap from his tail toppled the hulking wreck over. He grimaced slightly aware of just how much damage he had taken. But his wounds would heal, in time. Now, he needed to find something more worthy of his efforts...
