Description:
Arthos is first and foremost an arthropod amalgm. The head is built somewhat like a beetle's, and has a long horn with a forked branch at the end of it. He has a single pair of primary compound eyes, and two smaller pairs in front of it as well. The mandibles are look something like the Yautja mouthparts, including the inner row of teeth. The torso is held erect on a quadraped lower half, similar to how a centaur might stand.
The tosro sports two pairs of arms. The upper pair is fashioned after a praying mantis, but the forearms are maodified into serated blades, rather than small hooks. The second pair of arms is a little shorter and has the thick, heavy pincer claws of a crab. The chest is covered in overlapping armor plates as well, and the back has a hard, but mostly flat, shell, like an armored cockroach, that can open to reveal two pairs of wasp-like wings.
Continuing down the body is the lower half, which features two pairs of thick, spikey, and heavily armored crab or scorpion-like legs, each ending in a deadly spike. The abdomen is somewhat round and bloated, and a thick, armored scorpion tail extends out the back and curls around over the top of the head. The stinger is relatively large, like Megaguirus'.
Arthos' body is covered in chitinous, black armor plating, with a secondary endo-skeleton supporting the entire mass, resulting in the immense weight of the creature.
Offensive Powers
1. Stinger- Arthos' stinger is one of hsi many weapons, and has a number of abilities associated with it, such as the ability to inject a hemotoxin that causes both hemorraging and necrosis around the wound, inject large amounts of a powerful version of formic acid, or spray it in small streams, or sipon off the life energy of a foe to heal himself. The stinger itself is quite strong, and can be thrust through all but the toughest armor with ease.
2. Arm Claws- Arthos' upper arms feature potent serrated blades that he used to cut through prey with. They also secrete a mild anti-coagulant and regeneration blocker, which means that most monsters with regeneration on par with Heisei Godzilla now take minutes instead of seconds to heal their wounds.
3. Arm Pincers- Arthos' lower arms feature heavy, crushing claws that can be used to break most anything. Their srength is not limitless, but they can apply over 400,000 tons of crushing force to an area.
4. Sonic Vibrations- Arthos' wings are almost useless for any degree of flight, given his mass, but by bating hsi wings at extremely high speeds, he can generate sonic waves that will disable unshielded electronics momentarily, as well as deafen most any monster with repeated use.
5. Summon Swarm- Arthos' body plays host to a number of other smaller insectoids, namely a colony of termite-like organisms that help him digest food, and a colony of semi-parasitic creatres similar to a flea/mosquito hybrid that lives just beneath his armored hide.
Arthos can control these with his mental domination abilities and use them to attack foes.
The intestinal insectoids are expelled like vomit from the mouth, whereupon they latch onto oranic hosts and began to digest them. They are too small to destroy with melee attacks, but a pulse weapon can kill them. They reproduce rapidly and secrete a venom/acid compound that necrotizes the flesh, then melts it away, making for easy digestion. The creature's themselves resemble, small, white, termites, about 1 meter in length. This attack can only be used once per battle, but unless the termites are killed off with a pulse attack almost immediately, they will continue to effect the foe during the course of battle, leaving Arthos free to fight on.
The flea/mosquito hybrid feature the bodies of fleas, but with the flimsy wings and pronounced proboscis of a mosquito. They are quite heavily armored and can jump great distances. Unlike the termite creatures, which cannot be recalled, the flea hybrids latch onto a foe, then siphon some of their life energy, before returning it to Arthos.
6. Energy Beam- Arthos can only use this after absorbing energy from his parasites. The beam weapon is fired from his maw and has traits similar to that used by the opponent, if they have any at all (such as Godzilla's nuclear oral beam, or th epiercing power of Spacegodzilla's Corona Beam). However, this attack is amplified considerably and is comparable to the Plasma Grenade in strength.
Usable only twice per battle.
Defensive Abilities
1. Thick Exoskeleton- Arthos' exoskeleton can take massive amounts of punishment without ever breaking. It is also immune to the effects of acid and extremely resistant to heat and consussive force.
2. Flight- Arthos can fly for short distances at Mach 1. he can quickly accelerate and decelerate as well, but has no mobility.
3. Arths is immune to all Earth venoms and poisons, and to a lesser extent, alien biological weapons and poisons. He is also immune to the effects of radiation.
4. Arthos cna burrow at fifty miles an hour.
5. Arthos can sense vibratiosn in th eground beneath him, so a land based monster cannot sneak up behind him like that.
6. Mental Domination- Arthos is capable of controlling all minor insectoids, such as Meganula swarms or Soldier Legions, as well as the creatures infesting his body. This can override the control of their queen/leader as well. However, it cannot effect advanced inectoids such as Megaguirus or Megalon, or insectoid kaiju whose entire structure IS the colony, such as Myrmek.
