The shriek rang throughout all of Sydney, shattering nearby glass with its sheer decible and proclaiming the titan's dominance of all that he surveyed. Buildings crumbled atop the rising spires as pure cosmic crystal replaced concrete in the newly arisen fortress. Fires erupted all throughout the land, only to be swallowed by the crackling towers. Spacegodzilla stood, immobile but far from motionless amidst the horror. His screech slowly died down as the frantic scrambles of virtually every living creature around carried them far away. Spacegodzilla stood to the left of the largest tower in the city. Crystals surrounded the base of the formerly manmade structure, as well as a sort of crown at the top. This forest of silicon crackled and surged endlessly, absorbing energy from everything around them and feeding it to their creator, while the immense tower did the same on a far greater scale, harnessing energy currents from all accross the continent.
Spacegodzilla was unchallenged, ruling over his fortress without a hint of resistance.
The waters churned with the passage of something huge. Sydney Bay was seeing a new visitor. Spacegodzilla's cry had reached her ears and Rygama wasn't keen on someone encroaching on her territory. She had long staked these waters as her own and the shoreline belonged to her as much as the water itself. As she stuck her head above the surface, she was nearly blinded. The morning sun reflected from the concentration of crystals with a horrendous glare. Rygama immediately dove back beneath the water, escaping the blinding light.
Spacegodzilla glared at the rippling water. He had seen the intruder. This planet was so saturated in vermin, it was only natural that one would stick its nose into his buisness. He was furious at the knowledge of another creature his size in his fortress! Madly, he let out a cry of challenge, beckoning the watery vermin to come out and face him.
Rygama, had she been physically able to, would've cringed. She recognized the challenge, but honestly didn't much feel like getting into a tussel.
Spacegodzilla saw that his challenge got no response. But he was no one to let this creature slide on by. "Inhaling" a massive charge of power from his fortress, he threw his head forward towards the wake of the creature and exhaled a spinning, crackling bolt of crimson and yellow energy.
Rygama uttered a short cry as a horrid stinging sensation impacted her side, raising a large pillar of water as the bolt splashed through the surface. As the blast pricked her exoskeleton, anger flushed into her. The pain vanished entirely from her consciousness and she fired her tail and wings up, descending deeper into the bay and speeding around. She would start by losing the other monster.
Spacegodzilla huffed as the wake vanished from the bay. Had the intruder been so easily frightened away? Pitiful, really. A large splash suddenly caught his attention and the blue behemoth quickly turned to the direction, catching the aftermath as the silvery waters settled back down into the bay. Nothing had visibly left the water, however, though Spacegodzilla's attention remained on the water's edge.
The pain took several seconds to consciously manifest. All Spacegodzilla recalled was a quick blur, then suddenly he was falling, a massive surge of pain tearing through the left side of his face. His perepheral vision faded as his left eye was cleaved in two. The monster hit the ground hard, reflexively firing a spiraling blast into the blue. the blast, however, flew through nothing but air before expending its force against an office building that had been caged by the crystal spires. Spacegodzila could see nothing but the buildings ahead of him, however. Emerald bolts quickly lashed out from his crystals, anchoring to the ground and hauling his immense weight upright. The gash in his face was nearly closed but vision in his eye did not yet return. Spacegodzilla found himself gazing into violet eyes gleaming barely a snout's length from his face. From the very atmosphere stepped out a horrific figure. The creature was a hair's width shorter than him, yet the sheer ferality its expressions exuted made it seem as though it were twice the silicon being's size. Spacegodzilla charged up a blast but his challenger was too quick, throwing her weight forward into his bulk. Spacegodzilla's despite his unbelievable weight, was sent flying back several hundred meters into his own crystal feild. As he did, however, the blast tore free from his maw and flew into the monster's chest before retracting and stabbing into it again and again. Spacegodzilla fired a second blast, striking the same area by the time he hit the ground, his tail bending painfully from the impact. Two more beams lashed out, even as the attacker charged, jaws hanging open and saliva slinging out. A small fragment of chitin flew from Rygama's breastplate, but she paid it no mind. The wound meant nothing to her. With a sudden bound, she was in the air and accelerating rapidly. Spacegodzilla once again recoiled as Rygama's heavy spiked knee collided with his head, tearing through his skin, chipping bone and forcing him onto his back as Rygama sailed quickly overhead, the shockwave from her overhead pass punching the behemoth yet again.
Rygama swung her hip over and quickly floated on her back, keeping her enemy in sight before slowing to a stop and hovering over Spacegodzilla, allowing him to rise. As soon as he did, however, Rygama charged again, this time leaping into a position directly over him and bringing her great weight down full speed. Rygama's huge taloned feet hit Spacegodzilla's head at mach 1.2, forcing him onto his stomach. The crack of bone was audible upon impact. Spacegodzilla was beginning to lose himself in his rage! In a massive display of strength he thrust his arms down and forced his upper body off the ground. He opened his maw for another blast but before the dagger could reach out from his maw, Rygama's foot collided with his temple, heaving the monster's very weight up and momentarily into the air, bringing him into an upright position against a building. Rygama loomed over the tyrant now, her grinning jaw slung open. A throated, reverberating cackle pierced the air as she laughed at him almost uncontrollably. Her head shook slightly from side to side, almost as though she was listening to an entertaining musical number. Spacegodzilla's fury consumed him utterly as a dagger of firey death shot directly into Rygama's gaping maw. However, the triphibian only continued to laugh. Suddenly she lunged, grabbing Spacegodzilla's shoulders in her immense talons.
Would you like to know why that didn't hurt?
The ''voice" was less a voice than it was a thought that forcibly entered Spacegodzilla's mind and was translated by his own consciousness. And admittedly, for a moment curiosity did haunt the saurian. It was quickly answered, however as a ghostly green light took over Rygama's lidless eyes, poking through her gill slits before finally leaking into a thermal cloud quickly gathering in her maw. Emberlike gobs of glowing green material dripped out, seemingly material. Spacegodzilla's eyes reflexively clenched shut as the wave of green death washed over him like a tsunami, the superheated material burning and eating at his skin. Spacegodzilla could do only one thing. As raw muscle poked out through sections of his throat and shoulders, his own retaliation manifested. Crimson bolts crackled and danced accross his limbs as he forced them against Rygama in a shove. Billions of volts of electricity instantly pumped into her form. Rygama's torrent ceased as a sudden cry of shock and perhaps pain shredded the onslought she brought. However, Her cry quickly became laughter again as she grabbed Spacegodzilla's hands in her own talons. Spacegodzilla suddenly found himself feeling the burns and stings of his own shocking grasp! Rygama's laughter echoed through the saurian's ears and mind alike as the harpy bit her own tongue, passing the pain into Spacegodzilla. Her grin burned into his eyes. His electrical attack ceased, but Rygama didn't let up. She was far from finished. Her talon punched right through the quasireptilian's chest, hoisting him up while her other claw secured a grip on his thigh and she leaned back, lifting the beast high over her head. Rygama displayed no strain in this act. Spacegodzilla's semiconscious form dangled limp, his tailtip barely above the ground. The triphibian spotted a nice cluster of crystals to her right. Bending her legs slightly, she heaved Spacegodzilla high up, his body crashing face down into the spires. Spacegodzilla lost consciousness as the few shards that weren't shattered dug into his flesh. Rygama's thunderous footfalls, however, broke the once tyrant's releaving slumber as he found himself hoisted upright, Rygama still grinning at him. Casually she secured a grip with her teeth on his neck and pushed the space monster down, forcing his feet deep into the waters of the sewer he had broken into in his fall. Rygama held her left paw on his chest while her right gripped his side. With every bit of strength she could muster, she forced his neck back. Rygama offered Spacegodzilla one last merit, forcing the consciousness out of him moments before the cracking and finally, the snap. The sound delighted Rygama, who relaxed her jaws, dropping the corpse to the ground. Then, she leaned down and with her jaws agape, bit into his throat, tugging at it until an enormous chunk of flesh tore free. Rygama, tilting her head, swallowed and reached for another. That battle had made her hungry.
Their sound washed a torrent of dread into Rygama. It wasn't out of fear, but rather out of having her meal interrupted. The buzzing shattered windows as the trio passed through the canopy of skyscrapers. The hornets had come. Rygama lifted her head and glared at the approaching hunters. Each was about three fifths her own length, but with three of them, that wasn't a charming sight. Rygama opened her maw and shrieked at the trio, not bothering to set up an ambush. One of the hornets wasted no time and with its stinger drawn, charged, heading right for Rygama. It was greeted with a hellish stream, wrapped in a burning cloud. The hornet's shell began melting, but the fleshy interior was already stricken as the blast washed through it. The hornet fell into two pieces after a couple second's exposure. However, this created an opening, allowing another one to pounce, driving its stinger into her shoulder. The swelling came instantly and the pain flashed through Rygama's body for all of two seconds before she shoved it aside, accepting and ignoring it. Her jaggedly clawed wings swung upward, the longest of the talons on the right piercing the wasp's thorax, impaling it and slinging it forward, its flailing body crashing into the pile of rubble that Rygama had previously forced Spacegodzilla against. At the same time she caught air and leaped directly at the third wasp, her bloodied maw trying to grab and crush it. Her lunge missed, however, forcing her to spin around, her body already pulsing with the ionized chemicals she would need. As the hornet swerved around, stinger drawn, a seering ball of plasmatic seawater tore through the air, aimed at the hornet. However, the bug was too quick, darting to the side and arching into a charge, stinger aimed at Rygama's chest! Rygama zipped upwards, trying to dodge the attack but the insect flew true and the stinger found sheathing in Rygama's midriff. Rygama's shoulder took this moment to burst open, the muscle having swelled too greatly against the incredibly densely packed others, ripping her arm apart. Still more of the toxin poured into her abdomen. Rygama would be lucky not to break in half now! She glared daggers down at the bug. Wit a gutteral snarl, she grabbed the wasp's head in her jaws and crushed it like a gushers snack. She ripped the corpse out of her chest and dove quickly into the bay, the cool water relaxing her again. She still clutched the mutant hornet's decapitated body in her functioning claw. The water quelled her anger. Her wounds would heal soon enough, the pain would be dealt with and she would be nourished. Rygama paddled farther out to sea. This quarrel was over. Sydney was once again marked with her dominance. The city was now officially one of the few landmasses that belonged to the queen of the sea. As the noonday sun rose overhead, Rygama settled onto a sandy reef and relaxed as her abdomen split open and her lavender blood clouded the water. And despite the pain, as Rygama set the wasp down and lay on the sand, she was most content.
Spacegodzilla was unchallenged, ruling over his fortress without a hint of resistance.
