He groaned as the devil's jaws gnashed away at his exposed flesh again...but, even if the monster's foot weren't planted on his head to hold him in place, his body was unwilling to react to get itself out of danger. His mind was hardly in better condition, as the toxin that now tainted his blood hazed his senses and fouled his thoughts...he was reaching the end of his endurance, and he knew not what else he could do to stop this ravenous creature.
Quivering with both the pain he felt, and a numb, reckless desire for it to just end...Kuromori jerked and shook loose one more cloud of his fire-mist, dully hoping that maybe that alone would be enough to convince his enemy to let him go. But his luck had been unfavorable from the beginning of this clash, and it did not change now: the beast didn't so much as cough or sneeze in irritation. Just continued to bite and chew away as hungrily as ever.
...And with that, he had had enough.
With a last desperate lunge, his right foreleg lifted from the ground, lashed out and clumsily slapped at the saurian's broken leg, causing it to need to shift around for better positioning. While the creature tried to balance solely on top of his body, Kuromori utterly ignored its massive weight and bucked viciously as he scuttled forward, forcing the enemy to stumble forward and off of his back or risk collapsing to the street. Now, moving as quickly as he could with what little strength he had left, the Colossus turned around, then lurched forward and grabbed the base of the zombie's tail, yanking down and causing the surprised behemoth to rear up on its legs - standing amidst the cloud of mist.
Knowing fully well what would happen to him, and beyond any care at this point, the Wall Shadow took a slow, painfully ragged breath as he channeled what little strength of his magic remained in his broken and ruined armor...and fired.
The explosion lifted him and threw him backward, sending him crashing and skidding along the broken ground...he never noticed as more exposed and tender flesh was scraped away by the rough pavement. He hardly even noticed the sensation of burning as parts of his front side now smoldered from the explosion. It was as when his mind had taken leave of his body to wander back through the ancient times...only now, the nightmares of his past did not haunt him.
Just darkness.
If this was how it would end.....then so be it. Death's call sounded ever more inviting with each passing moment now...

*whew*...How soon d'you think TG can call this one? Don't want to sound like a quitter now, but bloody hell, Kuromori's tougher to fight with than I thought...
