The Harpy, however, would not be deterred by a few chinks in its armor. With feline grace, it spun around, placing its feet before it. As it collided with the glass, it thrust its weight forward, taking a leap up over the gumball machine's dome. With another few steps, it literally run up the side and found itself standing on the top of the machine and still moving. If the mech attempted to stop, it would go sliding off and out of control. Instead, the Harpy continued its path, circling over the shape of the machine.
As it came to the edge, the Harpy thrust its arm forward, extending its dense blade as far as it would go. The machine ran down the side of the machine. As soon as it touched the metalic base, it bents its legs and pushed off, sending it flying forward, aimed right for Stagthorn.
The insect attempted to brace itself, but the Harpy's momentum was far greater. The machine flew true, its blade finding its mark in Stagthorn's abdomen.
Both monsters were thrown into the ground with unbelievable force, sending both deep into a crater in the tiled floor, not less than two inches deep.
Blood splattered into the air as the Harpy's momentum had actually forced the blades back a notch, burying the jagged fist in Stagthorn's belly.
The Harpy climbed to its feet, decidedly shaken, but also invigorated by the move. It placed its foot on Stagthorn's face and pushed down, sliding the machine's fist and blade out of the crater on Stagthorn's abdomen.
With its arm free, the Harpy began to press down with its foot, with aim to crush Stagthorn's face beneath it.
