On the toy shelf sat one of the most bad-ass looking figures ever. And as the store closed down.. Either it be by the shadows or it itself.. It seemed to move. It was! It's alive! The insect-like creature leaped from a shelf and landed on the floor below. Stagthorn looked around... She sensed something..

In the shadows through the window, a shape became visible. High above, on the top shelves, a sleek, lany form leaped from the edge, plumetting down all of seven feet and slamming into the floor below, not four enormous feet from the rigid beetle-beast. The warmachine stood upright and glared at the mutant, its many orblike eyes keeping the insectoid firmly in their sight. The Harpy wanted to play. (ba-dum-bash)

What appears to be the most awesome action figure ever to exist in the history of action figures sits and watches on one of the higher shelves. It's Gwangi.
Monsters... FIGHT!

With nary a second thought, the diminuative machine charged, rushing forward with shocking speed. Like greased lightning, one of its spindley legs lashed outwards, burying its titanic talons in Stagthorn's chest, picking her up effortlessly. The insect was sent sailing back, propelled by the shockingly powerful blow. Drool flew from her mandibles as she careened right into a large crate of matchbox cars, denting the bars of the eight by eight foot box.
The Harpy stomped its foot into the linolium, assuming a forward stance as it waited for Stagthorn to rise. Its pilot wished to get acquainted with his opponent.

The cars shifted and Stagthorn stood up in a pile of matchbox cars. The insectoid, now-shrunken Klenthurian beast look to its side and saw a conveniently placed Barbey doll box. The claws of it easily tore through the plastic packaging and he gripped the doll by the waist and yanked it free of the bondage-like plastic rope that held her. Holding her by the right leg and dragging her on the ground, Stagthorn charged forward.
He smashed the doll against the Harpy's side, making the doll's arm fly off. Then the doll came down again, smashing into its skull and nearly causing the leg to come off. The the final slam came, striking the Harpy in the chest and sending it a good four-feet into the air and crashing into the kiddie-video game section.
Many games fell from the shelf, but only a few covered the Harpy as it stirred. Still dragging his little doll behind him, Stagthorn prepared to smash it into Harpy's head.

The pilot cringed as he felt the heavy structure of a Goosebumps PC game bash over his mech's cranium. Why did this bloody machine even HAVE a head? As the beetle-beast charged, the Harpy stood upright, its blades pivoting into their full forward position. As Stagthorn brought the mangled doll up to strike another blow, the machine swung its arm, the extended blade slicing right through the soft plastic like butter. The doll literally split in half at the waist, dropping the majority of its mass to the ground. as Stagthorn registered this, the Harpy fired a second blow, striking its blade into her abdomen, piercing the hard shell with disturbing ease. Sickly fluid puddled on the linolium as the blade tore deep, inciting a snort from the arthropod. The Harpy withdrew its blade and swung a second time, this time aiming to slice right into the bug's headcase.

The blade cut a gash between the bug's eyes, but at the same time, the Crusher Mandibles clamped shut at lightning speed. A siren-like sound came from the bug as he backed away, his own strength pulling Harpy along for the ride as he began to thrash. The blades were obviously a major threat, and now was the time to hamper them somewhat.
The robot fell forward as sparks and smoke began to flow from both its wrist, elbow, and shoulder areas. The beetle threw the machine up over his head, using its own arm against it as he bashed his entire body on the ground and continued to damage the arm.
A second slam repeated and the arm weakened even more. A cricket-like chirp came from the bug as he spun around once and then released the robot. The machine fell backward like a bullet being fired. His body smashed back-first into the cash register. The tilt popped open and now the machine's form slumped within the crater-like dent on the end.
Rubber her wounded belly, the Klenthurian-made insect unfolded its wings and drifted ever-so gently upward. Drool fell from her maw as she looked around. Another cry came from within before she flew over the register and then began to push backward. The register shall fall... and so shall Harpy.

The Harpy climbed to its feet in time to be greeted by Stagthorn's handiwork. The register slipped over the counter, dropping from beneath the machine's feet instantly. Both pounded into the floor, inciting a deafening clang.
The Harpy looked up at the counter, spying Stagthorn leaning over, inspecting her work. The machine glared back up at her. Such a fall wouldn't have hurt the machine normally, let alone with this level of reduced gravity. The Harpy's boosters roared to life and it leaped, extending its fist forward as it did. Stagthorn was thrown back by a fierce punch from the Harpy, so forceful that it created a bloody fracture in the arthropoid's facial armor. The Harpy shot past the countertop by two feet, did a front flip and landed in its feet in front of the downed Stagthorn. As she started to climb to her feet, the Harpy lunged, aiming a massive soccer kick to her belly.

She doubled up on the ground and a stream of fluid came from her segmented mouth. The insect released a snarl and rolled to the side and at the same time, launched its hand up, its dagger-like claws pinching the mech's crotch. The machine released a screech-like cry before she felt the mech lift up.
With a heave, Stagthorn sent the machine flying through the air in the opposite direction. Her body smashed against a rack of Bandai American toys, her head stabbed into the head of the beer belly of a GMK Godzilla.
Stagthorn stood up and shook her head before waiting for movement...

The Harpy yanked its head out of the soft plastic. It spun around, glaring its three central eyes at Stagthorn. Like a rocket, it shot from the shelf, propelled right back at the insectoid. Stagthorn tried to react, but was overcome momentarily as the Harpy's rigide head stabbed right into her abdomen, giving the machine anchorage as it continued its charge. Both monsters were thrown from the countertop and sent careening down to the linolium floor with a crash. More blood spurted from Stagthorn's newly opened up midriff.
The Harpy stood up, glaring down at Stagthorn. It leaped back a step, evading Stagthorn's reach, before assuming a fighting stance. It beckoned the arthropoid to make the next move.

Stagthorn, the mighty Queen of all Insects, stood up, her midsection gushing out blood. The beast snarled and carried on as the Harpy stood tall, the mech itself, seemingly, wasn't going to move a muscle. The bug leaped into the air, but not forward, and only turned around. When she landed, her hands were sprawled out before her, her large ass pointed absurdly in the air.
The mech tilted its head before the abdomen flashed once. The electronics built in the machine began to malfunction, her legs gave way as the circuits and computer systems began to send the Harpy into a form of robotic seizing.
Stagthorn stood up straight again and turned around. Drool fell from her maw as she tilted her head and walked forward. As the Harpy continued to spasm, her long, scorpion-like tail stinger rose up from her back and abdomen... It loomed over the Harpy's chest....

Upton vigorously struggled to regain control of the mech. The artificial muscle chords spasmed, but slowly began to move as directed. The bio-chips powering the machine held some resistance to the assault. Not a moment too soon too, as Stagthorn's bladed tail swung directly for the cockpit! The Harpy lunged, clasping its hand around Stagthorn's barbed tail, crunching into the armor as it held the appendage in an iron grip. Without giving her another chance to retaliate, the Harpy pulled back its arm and thrust it forward, pivoting the blade forward and brutally boring through the arthropoid's plastron, narrowly missing her heart as it struck one of the muscular wing supports deep in her thorax. Without missing a beat, the Harpy raised its arm, easily hefting the titanic arthropoid over its had, then violently swung her down into the linolium.

A sickening cackle came forth from Stagthorn's maw and the tile beneath it shattered as if glass and formed a type of crater. The insect snarled in rage more than pain as she planted one clenched fist on the ground and lashed out with the other... palm open.
The three dagger-like claws all, at once, stabbed straight into the Harpy's 'jaw' (or area like it) and went straight, straight upward. By the sudden pausing of the mech, Stagthorn could only hope she got the cockpit as she drove the claws further upward. With a cry of rage, she pulled her arm downward, the claws now covered in chunks of metal and circuitry.
Harpy fell backward like a tree, a twitch here and spasm there. With a shriek, Stagthorn stood up, her body in pain as she grabbed Harpy's right leg, spun, and then released her flying into a large, glass bubblegum machine.
