Something was... off in this city, what the hovering dragon did not know. The fiery dragon, Burning Solranous, landed on the outskirts off Seattle, waiting to confront whatever beast was coming, the grass beneath his feet burning away to nothing from his massive body heat.

The cosmic fiend known as Gigoramis landed near the center of town, eyes narrowed. Suddenly, his lips pulled backwards into an insidious grin as his tail smashed through the bottom of a building, leveling it. He suddenly whipped his head to the side to spot another draconic kaiju in the distance.

Perfect.

His legs flexed, and Gigoramis bounded into the air, only to land a few hundred meters away from the flaming dragon. His claws twitched in anticipation, tail lashing, as he contemplated this kaiju's strength.

Syzir appears out of nowhere and gleefully demands that the bloodshed commence.

Ah, so that was what bothered him. The chitin-covered fiend would have to be put down...

Hard.

Burning Solranous tensed himself as his telekinetic energy started flowing. Soon, faster then Gigoramis could track, Burning Solranous had slammed his knee into the cosmic fiend's gut, the heat of his body intensifying to help break the protective layer of chitin that covered the beast.

Winded, Gigoramis could not react in time as Solranous comboed his opening attack with a speedy, yet still crushing left hook to Gigoramis' face, sending the demon sprawling across the landscape, his face and gut smoking from the intense body heat Burning Solranous was known for.

The fiery dragon's back spines shimmered as his primary ranged weapon charged, before a torrent of radioactive death lunged from his maw at the prone form of Gigoramis. The attack exploded on Gigoramis' shoulder and the demon cried out it's pain. Snarling, Gigoramis was about to rise, though Solranous intervened by dashing to him and performing a back flip precisely timed that it would smash his foot into Gigoramis' lower jaw and send the demon sky-ward.

Burning Solranous' spines shimmered again as he launched a flurry of his Hyper Homing Fireballs at Gigoramis, intent on barbacuing the cosmic dragon.

Kneeing Gigoramis and then landing a left hook was, as stated, meant to be a combo attack and was ment to happen in the span of a few seconds.

Gigoramis snarled as the spheres hurtled towards him. He quickly ripped a large chunk of rubble and hurled it, causing the spheres to detonate against the rubble. As the smoke settled, Gigoramis's eyes flashed as a beam of yellow-green energy surged forth and slammed into Burning Solranous's sternum, knocking the wind from the dragon.

Gigoramis rushed forward and slammed his tail into Burning Solranous's stomach. Before the dragon could react, he slammed both claws into the dragon's head, sending him to his knees. Gigoramis hissed in glee as he jumped backwards and sent another beam of energy hurtling towards Burning Solranous, hoping it would hit.

OOC: I assume Gigoramis' chitin renders him uneffected by high levels of heat, right? *shrugs* Oh well.

To Gigoramis' dismay, Burning Solranous managed to take in enough air to fully charge his breath weapon and respond to the cosmic fiend's attack in kind, his own beam overpowering Gigoramis' and sending their combined strength down the cosmic dragon's throat. Gigoramis shrieked as the energy seared him from the inside.

Solranous charged more energy on his wrist as he formed his signature spear on it and stabbed through the chitin on his cosmic foe's shoulder. The spear's energy was unleashed, blowing flesh off of Gigoramis' left shoulder. Solranous snarled as he clamped his jaws on the wound, begining to cauterize it with his super-heated fangs. Sure, this meant Gigoramis didn't have to worry about blood loss, but better to make sure the damage stays incase this creature had the ability to regenerate.

Letting go, the dragon fired off a telekinetic pulse that forced Gigoramis away before fireing off more Hyper Homing Fireballs. They all collided with their target as small chunks of chitin were being blown off of the cosmic fiend's form.

With the recently created smoke screen, Burning Solranous powered up his breath weapon once again, hoping to catch the beast off guard...

As the atomic flames rushed towards him, the cosmic demon jerked his head to the side, the intense heat rushing past his face. The heat singed him slightly, but not enough.

Gigoramis snarled as pink energy began to 'ripple' across his wings, slowly gaining speed. The appendages weren now glowing as he spread them to their fullest width, unleashing a large shower of needle-like beams from their confines. The beams hammered down on the emerald dragon, making him bellow in protest. Gigoramis smikred as the cries of pain pleased him.

He continued with an uppercut to the dragon's gut, then comboed (?) with a slap of his tail to the side of Burning Solranous's face. Finishing the combo, he raked his claws across the wyrm's chest.

He stepped backwards, then fired his energy beam in an attempt to hit the dragon.

Burning Solranous' eyes widen as he bent back on his legs as the beam soared above him, missing him by mear inches. Returning to his normal stance, he muttered, "Damn, stole a move from 'The Matrix,' hopefully they won't sue me after this."

He glared at Gigoramis, growling, "Now you've ticked me off, time to step it up a notch." The emerald dragon pulled his hands back and charged solar energy inbetween them as he powered up his ultimate attack.

"Try this on for size, Solar Oblivion!" the dragon roared as he threw his hands forward, firing the beam of pure solar energy. The beam lanced at Gigoramis at great speed and slammed into the cosmic demon's chest. Gigoramis screeched horribly as chitin was either blown off or just melted away as his softer underflesh was exposed and soon burned.

Burning Solranous, happy with the amount of damage he had done, charged in close and made three slices, one with each tail blade, on the demon. The first hit his neck, the second went all the way up his left arm, and the final one crossed from left to right on his right knee.

Glancing at the chest wound, he further damaged it by firing his Atomic Blast at it point-blank. Gigoramis screeched again, seemingly blind by pain that he didn't notice Solranous aiming another Solar Spear at his left hip...

Gigoramis snarled as he dodged to the side, the lance burning into the ground harmlessly. He replied by charging energy into his right claw, the 'fingers' turning pink. The cosmic fiend growled in annoyance as he leveled the claws with Burning Solranous's neck. Suddenly, the claws lengthened at an alarmingly fast rate, stabbing into the emerald dragon's hide. However, even though he was damaging Solranous, his claws were getting baked by the intense heat emanationg from the emerald dragon.

The claws shrank back to their normal size as Gigoramis fired off another plasma beam directly into Burning Solranous's face, temporarily blinding him. He rushed forward, not wanting to miss this chance, and smashed his knee into Solranous's stomach, then elbowing the dragon in the face.

He backed up quickly and charged up another Plasma Beam, aiming for Solranous's knees.

He refuses to go DOWN! Gigoramis screamed to himself angrily.

The beam hit, causing Burning Solranous to stumble a bit, but remain upright.

"I admit, you are a formidable foe, but everybody can be defeated." Solranous growled. This beast was going to take much more punishment before he went down, that was for sure. The emerald dragon couldn't hold back at any point, lest he inadvertantly give Gigoramis the edge.

The energy veins on Solranous' hands glowed as he intensifed the heat in them, beyond what Burning Godzilla was capable of standing before melting down. The fiery dragon charged and stabbed his claws into Gigoramis' gut, baking the cosmic fiend from the inside out as it's chitin now worked against it, keeping the heat in to roast him.

As his claws continued to bake Gigoramis, Burning Solranous lifted the two of them up into the sky through both his wings and his telekinesis, ascending high into the atmosphere before he reached his target hieght.

"This is what I call a SLAM DUNK!" Solranous roared as he back flipped and let gravity take over with Gigoramis held in front of him to take the brunt of the blow. He slammed Gigoramis into the ground at speeds exceeding Mach 5, the blunt trama cracked some of the chitin.

Burning Solranous pried his claws free and blasted Gigoramis' face with his breath weapon before he tried to stab the same area with another Solar Spear.

The spear blasted through Gigoramis's shoulder, causing him to grunt in pain.

Oh, so that's how it is, eh? Gigoramis thought, smirking as an idea came to him.

Ignoring the scalding heat, Gigoramis grabbed Burning Solranous by the face and slammed it into a nearby building. Before the green dragon could rise, Gigoramis charged his right claw with energy and slammed it into the emerald dragon's face, causing spurts of blood to fly into the air before the wounds cauterized.

Gigoramis snarled in glee as he grabbed two of Solranous's tails, then skimmed along the ground, with the dragon still in tow. He finally let Solranous go, sending the dragon skidding into another building. The cosmic fiend cackled as he flew into the air, firing off another Plasma Beam into the rubble.

You WILL die by my hands. The fiend thought.

The beam, to Gigoramis' surprise, curves away from its intended target, flying harmlessly into the sky while Burning Solranous emerges from the rubble.

"Didn't expect me to be telekinetic, did you?" the dragon asked, but didn't wait for an answer as he pulled Gigoramis toward him through the same power he just mentioned and prepared a Solar Spear. Gigoramis, incapable of steering away, is impaled by the Spear, causing it to detonate on the cosmic fiend.

Burning Solranous proceeded to excellerate his reflexes as he delivered multiple fast and hard blows to Gigoramis face, beating it in some what and burning it (OOC: Pardon the pun). Gigoramis wasn't out in the clear yet when it came to surprises, for he now noticed that some of Solranous oldest wounds were much less severe then the were before, and smaller ones had out-right disappeared.

Gigoramis soon 'put two and two together' and figured that Burning Solranous possessed regenerative properties which made him snarl in anger.

"Shocked aren't you?" "This is exactly why I WON'T die at your hands." Solranous physically spoke the first part, while the second part he projected into the demon's mind. The fiery dragon swung one of his tail blades forward, slicing up Gigoramis' right leg and cauterizing the wound, preventing the demon from regenerating.

As Gigoramis howled in pain, Solranous reeled his fist back, adding his telekinesis that would put the force behind his punch enough to even make a monster of 300,000 tons worth of mass step back from the hit. As fast as physically possible, the fiery dragon swung his fist forward, attempting what could be the most devastating punch he could ever make land on the demon's chest...

Gigoramis snarled and lashed his head to the side, shoving his energized claw into Solranous's stomach while dodging the punch simultaneously.

Let's see you regenerate a cauterized wound. Gigoramis smirked to himself.

He then placed his foot on the dragon's chest, and kicked Solranous off of his claw. He charged another Plasma Beam, and fired it towards Solranous. However, it merely struck the ground before him, sending large amounts of dust and debris into the air. Before the emerald dragon could react, Gigoramis slammed his claw into the ground, towards Solranous's direction. A conical wave of emerald energy surged forth and slammed into Solranous's front, rending scales from flesh and sending steam as well as blood, into the air.

Gigoramis let out another howl as he noticed some of his wounds had regenerated as well, making him smirk again. He fired off another Plasma Beam as the dust began to settle, hoping it would strike the dragon that annoyed him so.
