yeah, you knew it was coming. Riptidevs Neo-SpacegodzillaArena: Los Angeles- Midnight Rules: None. A no holds barred, fight to the death. Except for the fact that NSG has the regen that he would normally have. You know, IR and I have been over this dozens of times. They're both pretty evenly matched, in terms of abilities, and the fight could swing either way here. I know I'm breaking a rule here, but I want someone other than IR and me to fight over this one. So have at it.

Honestly, with NSG being telepathic and all that jazz, I can see him winning, if only by a thread. I mean, sure, Riptide is probably the single most balanced mech and is a beast both offensively and defensively, but it really wouldn't matter with his strategy is an open book to NSG. Even if its not something perfect, he'd pretty well be able to severely cripple any biological being's effectiveness on him. And Riptide needs a pilot, so... Knowing is half the battle.
And therein would lie Riptide's best chances, though. He has an arsenal that would make Heavyarms blush. Honestly, I think the numerous times I've seen these two pretty well fight to a draw surmizes how the fight would end. Except NSG has a better chance of surviving damage with his regeneration, and all he'd really need to do is find a way to negate the pilot. Easier said than done, I realize. But yeah. I'd have to say NSG would be the winner.

I'm essentially going with what I've seen NSG able to do. I've seen how IR's utilized him in battles before, and I've also seen what the two have done to each other in KWND and the novelization of the former. As Kane said, though, NSG has one advantage on Riptide that'll keep him alive - regen. Riptide's defenses will keep it chugging for a while, but it can't heal itself. And while they'll both be weakening each other quite well, NSG won't fall from mere wounds. The cauterization thing is countered by NSG going...ahem, pseudo-emo, and, well...yeah, NSG has the upper hand, especially with those accursed crystals.
