Opteryx flew high in the sky, its eyes looked down before its body swooped down, increasing speed causing a sonic boom to echo through the city before it slowed down. The kaiju's talons lashed out as it descended, gripping the paved streets before coming to a stop. Its reptilian head leaned back, a cackling, call-like snarl rising up.

Rubble fell and smashed on the street, atop a high building sat Shadow Roc, his claws dug deep into the brick walls. He too screeched, a deep screech that was, at the same time, high pitched.

Gwangi teleports into the city, holding a kaiju-sized bag of popcorn in preparation for the inevitable amusement.

Opteryx let out a loud shriek and leaned its head back. A white glow began to emit from his throat as a ball of energy swirled in his maw. As the head lashed forward, a beam of white, Ion Energy was thrown outward. Shadow Roc called out in pain as the beam smashed into his chest, sending a storm of feathers and blood to the ground as its body fell backward, smashing back first into a building below the one it perched. The structure shattered like glass, a tall cloud of smoke rising up as the rubble now acted as its tomb. Opteryx let out a snort as it walked forward, charging another beam of Ion Energy.

The beam shot, the burst of energy parting the smoke, only to reveal the bird to be gone. A huge, dark purple beam came blasting down form above, slamming Opteryx onto his back. Shadow Roc flew up higher and spread his wings, blocking out the sun. He then came rocketing down, a full speed dive-bomb.

Opteryx snarled as it turned to face the attacked before its four horns began to glow white. The bird mutant shrieked once before its horns' energy was released and stretched out. As Shadow Roc came in, Opteryx lashed its head downward, sending all four Ion Slashes cutting into the freak's back. A geyser of blood fell upward as its body was smashed into the ground, four long and deep cuts running down its back.
As Shadow Roc laid still, Opteryx's wings flapped and it flew back a few hundred meters before its feathers began to glow with Ion energy. The mutation then flapped its wings, sending the Ion Storm down on the fallen foe.

Shadow Roc attempted to stand, only to be hit with the full force of the attack. Screaming in pain, Shadow Roc took to the air, blood raining from above. A black vortex appeared befor his mouth which exploded with the shadow blast, hitting Opteryx dead on. But, the feathered beast didn't even flinch. A light suddenly erupted from Shadow Roc's chest, his mind rape.

The mind rape hit, but Shadow Roc was unaware of what Opteryx was. You see, the bird mutation was at best, a simple animal mutation. The worst 'memories' it had is when it was first introduced to the Ion Energies, and thus remembering when he first got his powers. The killer bird let out a loud squawk as the memories of being born flooded his mind.. What glorious memories they were.
Tired of this, Opteryx snarled and opened his maw again, his beam smashing directly into Roc's chest. A fiery ball of energy leaped off from the enemy's chest before it fell down, calling out as a stream of blood flew from its maw.
The wings of the Ion Phoenix began to glow and it flew forward, and slashed his wings downward, attempting to slice Shadow Roc's gizzard out with its Ion Feathers.

But, just before the attack made contact, a blast of purple and black swirling energy hit Opteryx in the face. The bird was knocked back a few meters as Shadow Roc stood back up. His eyes locked on the beast before he lifted off and flew at the other kaiju, and open maw which began glowing with evil energy.

Opteryx snarled and brought its still Ion-Feather'd wing up. Shadow Roc let out a chicken-like cry as the blade-like energy smashed against its face. The evil bird was sent hundreds of meters up, a deep cut from its chin to base of the neck. The bird then came down, but as it fell, Opteryx began to spam his Ion Beam at the moving target.

Shadow Rocs eyes shot open, but a second to late as the blast hit him. He spiraled out of the explosion and hit the ground with all his force. He began to get up, slipping on the way and having to start again. He charged the beast again, slamming it in the chest and knocking off a few feathers. At point blank, he began to fire his shadow blast.

Opteryx roared again and head lashed out, its maw clamped around Roc's throat. The evil chicken let out a squawk as the dagger-like teeth sank into its flesh before ripping off a chunk of meat. The bird fell back, coughing up blood and Opteryx swallowed the piece of meat, then walked forward, and sat on its face.
