Scython lurched forward and rushed as best he could underwater. Pushing forward, he managed to avoid most of the laser blasts, though one singed his shoulder. With a grunt he trekked on, closing the gap and reaching out towards Cerberus. Arms outstretched, Scython siezed his fleeing foe and embraced him in a crushing bearhug. Metal dented and groaned as Scython's muscular forearms flexed against his chest. His pale white eyes spotted something in the grapple- large, external wires* on either side of Cerberus' neck. Snapping his jaws shut on two of the wires, Scython pulled back with all his weight. As the wires ripped loose, flashing yellow as their electric current dissipated into the sea, both monsters toppled backwards. Rolling down the earthy slope, the grappling monsters tumbled and bounced, kicking up silt and debris. The two seperated as they neared the bottom, crashing seperately into seabed. Slowly Scython rose, wires hanging from his mouth. He shook his head, fists clenched, and watched for his foe to rise as well... * omegarex24.deviantart.com/art/Cerberus-82419771

Cerberus' vision flickered briefly before auxillery channels were established. Scython was waiting for him, and in the darkness, he had the distinct advantage. Cerberus had to get topside, and fast, but he also needed to get Scython to go with him.
So, with that in mind, he charged forward at the waiting beast, before clamping his secondary jaws around Scython's throat and wrist. He thehn began to drag his foe across the seabed, letting the saurian's struggles further imbed the steel fangs in his flesh. Cerberus dragged Scython up the incline and out of the water before slinging the carcass across the ice.
As Scython skidded to a halt, Cerberus opened fire with a barrage of napalm missiles, hoping to "thaw" the alien out...

Without the mana to power an energy shield, Scython had no choice but to continue the offensive. Rushing forward, Scython managed to duck some of the missiles, but the majority hit their mark. He bellowed furiously as the napalm splashed against his hide, but the cold hate in his eyes promised that the violence would not go unreplied to. Lurching downwards, Scython slammed his feet down and skidded forward on the ice, his momentum thrusting him straight into Ceberus. Scythons muscular shoulders slammed into the mech, throwing it backwards. The machine fell back-first into the water it had just escaped, spraying Scython with a freezing mist. Scython roared and jumped into the gloom after him, sinking into the dark with clenched fists and eager jaws.

Cerberus had no intention of fighting his foe on this terrain, no matter what. As Scython lunged after him, Cerberus opened wide with all three jaws, as the secondary jaws slammed shut on Scython's fist, while the primary surged forward and clamped around his throat.
Scython kicked and struggled as Cerberus crushed his hands and neck once again. Although failing to suffocate the alien, they did do a bang-up job drawing large amounts of blood, although the alien's bones appeared a little too dense to break so eaily.
Cerberus slammed his catch down before releasing him and moved out of the water once again, putting as much distance between the two as possible before stopping at a relatively solid location...

An unnervingly silent moment passed as the two combatants were momentarily seperated. Then, without warning, Scython returned- bursting through the ice in a blast of frozen shards, he heaved himself above the surface with surprising speed. The alien monster immediately charged forward, almost slipping at first, but again turning it's momentum against his foe. He concentrated on one of the metal vices that had caused him so much grief, lunging forward and striking it before it could strike back. His fangs dug into the metal exterior of the closed, mechanical jaws, siezing the limb. As Scython grabbed the mech's arm, he continued to slide, his legs scrambling forward on the now-wet ice. Racing past, he yanked the robot by it's arm, heaving it off it's feet before releasing. The giant mech crashed into the thick ice and slide a sizeable distance, massive, splintering cracks marking it's landing spot. Scython noted the second area of interest but moved around it, deciding to let the fight stay on land for a little while longer.

Cerberus is down, but not out. The machine has far more damage tolerance than Scython might like, and he proves it by getting to his feet and pounding ice in a bee-line for the alien.
Scython seems to expect another bite attack, but recieves a surprise as he slams both hands in a double-uppercut into Scython's jaw, cracking bone against metal and knocking Scython off his feet, as the machine attempts to fire his Disentigrator Guns at the alien...

Scython dodged to the side as he ran, avoiding one of the beams completely. The other grazed his shoulder, causing Scython to wince- but a think scorchmark wasn't going to stop him. Crashing into the mech chest-to-chest, Scython grabbed Cerberus' head in both hands, grasping the mechanical monster's cranium in his powerful, clawed fingers. Turning around, he pulled Cerberus' by the head, spinning him alongside himself, and let go, heaving the robot through the air. Crashing against the ice, Cerberus slide back, dangerously close to the first impact point. Hissing and advancing on the downed mech, Scython clenched his fist and prepared to hammer Cerberus back into the sea...

Cerberus slowly got to his feet in time to recieve a right hook from the alien menace, but even as he staggered, he dug his feet in, shredding the ice as the alien tried to force him back. The machine had fought hard to keep out of the water, and he wasn't about to let the alien force him back in.
As Scython came in again, Cerberus deftly blocked with one hand and bashed the other one against Scython's face with enough force to spin the alien to the side, blood leaking from his nostrils. Cerberus continued to batter the alien, opening up room for his next strike, as he grabbed Scython's tail and began to swing himself, before sending the monster flying towards a nearby wall of ice...

(OOC: Scython doesn't have nostrils, actually. ) Crashing into the wall in an explosion of shattered ice, Scython slumped to the ground covered in powder and chips of broken ice. He shook his head and glared up at the robot, silently vowing to fight harder. Getting to his feet and blitzing, Scython lowered his head and charged towards Cerberus. Knowing by now that the mech would be anticipating such an obvious frontal assault, he swerved to the right at the last moment, avoiding impact but raising his tail into the air. Swinging back to the left with his near, he chopped into the side of Cerberus' neck with his blade-studded tail, hacking through the remaining, undamaged, external wires. The blades hit the metal on the other side, lodging themselves into the machine's neck with a loud "KRIIINKKK!". Still charging forward and now with his tail blades anchored in, Scython's forward rush yanked Cerberus backwards by the neck, momentarily lifting him off his feet. As Scython's blades slid loose in mid-yank, Cerberus crashed into the ice, landing on his back and sliding a short distance. Turning about to face his foe, Scython snarled and clenched his fists, eager to continue his duel with the mana-less monster.

(OOC: Yeah, I guess it would be kind of silly to have a creature that doesn't breathe with nostrils)
----
Cerberus' vision flickered and stuttered again and the wires on the outside were cut. He made a note to inform the mechanics of this when he got back. Provided, of course, that he could take down Scython.
Scython was waiting for him, practically smirking with a sense of superiority. Cerberus aimed to rectify that. If Scython wanted a frontal assault, then he would give it to him. The machine got to his feet and charged forward, jaws open and ready to crunch down on the alien. Instead, however, he lanced forward with both Disentigrator Guns, stabbing their bladed tips into Scython's shoulders, surprising his enemy and leaving and opening for the machine to slam the secondary jaws shut on the alien's hands.
With his foe partially disabled and bleeding everywhere, Cerberus opened wide and prepared to crush Scython's head between his primary jaws...

Scython swung to the side with his head, avoiding the potentially fatal bite to the head- but with both hands caught in the mech's secondary claws, he could not prevent the jaws from shutting down on his nearby shoulder. Scython howled in pain, blood squirting from the base of his neck. Flexing his unworldly muscles, Scython yanked his arms free of Cerberus' clutches with an angry hiss. He wasted no time in raising the caloused, skinned hands up to Cerberus' head and grabbing hold. Shutting his eyes and exhaling loudly, he pulled the mech's jaws off in a spray of blood. Letting go with one hand and pulling back with it, Scython let out a thunderous roar. Taking a heavy step forward and swinging the colossal punch, the alien monster held Cerberus steady with one hand and laid waste to him with the other. The fist struck Cerberus directly in the snout, and with an echoing thud, threw him backwards, landing on his back and skidding. Sycthon hissed and stomped forward, wriggling his newly freed fingers as he observed the giant fist-shaped dent in Cerberus' face.

The alien was immensly strong, something that was becoming increasingly problematic for the machine. Cerberus needed a new plan of action, so, rather than engage in further melee combat, he would make use of hsi ranged arsenal.
The Disentigrator Guns opened fire on the alien, slashing burning wounds across the beast's chest where the flesh was vaporized instantly. Scython roared as Cerberus opened fire again, all the while moving to keep some distance between the two...

Scython howled and snapped at the air as the Disentigrator Guns raked across his flesh- if only there were some mana to be drained! His shield could easily repel the thin streams of energy, but without the energy to raise it, he was defenseless against their assault. His only option was to fight through the pain and press his attack. Lowering his head and charging, Scython rammed through the searing blasts, lips bared and fists clenched. Though the charge only lasted seconds, the burning beams made it feel like an eternity. Finally he crashed into mechanical mass, wrapping his arms around the machine's waist and heaving up. Scython dug his claws into the ice and bellowed, lifting the mech off the ground- but the combined weight of the two monsters was too much for the already cracking ice beneath. As Scython furiously tried to heave Cerberus up, the ice gave way, plunging both monsters once more into the sea. Under the water Scython seperated from Cerberus, pushing away with a swift tail swing to the mech's head. As he sank back into the gloom, Scython kept a watchful eye on his falling foe...

The alien's tail clanged off the machine's head, leaving a nasty dent and blurring his vision. Once again, the alien had dragged him off into the gloomy undersea zones of the battlefield. This was once again problematic, but not something he was totally worried about. He would find Scython and finish him off here and now. No more playing around.
Cerberus advanced forward, his sensors pulsing as he checked periodically for any sign of his enemy. He only narrowly managed to dodge an assault from the hidden alien before retaliating on his own, slamming his jaws shut on Scython's meaty and mangled shoulder before pulsing electricity through his bite. Scython screamed wordlessly in the deep before Cerberus relented.
The charge had been weakened somewhat by the seawater, but it was enough and gave him an opening to try to slam both secondary jaws up against Scython's head...
