Well, the battlefield works to my advantage here, unlike previous matches.
NSG loses the ability to siphon off as much energy as usual, what with the lack of decent viable energy sources around (except the usual cosmic energies, although he lacks a reciever).
As such, NSG, while still perfectly capable of kicking Riptide's ass hither and yon, is now much more balaced of a foe for my mech now. The crystal missiles will still wreak all manner of havoc on his outer armor layer, but the inner layer is still remarkably tough. Plus, Riptide isn't adverse to getting up close and personal on NSG and cleaving into him with the Plasma Cutters. NSG is enough of a masochist to re-open the wounds manually once they've been cauterized, but Riptide can keep going for awhile. He can take NSG, although, as usual, it won't be easy.

This has been done to many times..... It's getting kind of old....
Anyway, I see a lot more then just the missiles coming into play. Like in their previous fights, NSG will probably stay mid-range for thje most part. However, he isn't afraid to go head in. Also, I see him just ripping through riptide as-per usual. Except now, NSG doesn't HAVE to give Riptide the chance to charge up his more powerful attacks.
The blades will wreak havoc on NSG, as per usual, but I just don't see that putting him down quicker the NSG can rip his way through Rip.

Lack of a tower really doesn't hinder NSG any... That being said, NSG's beaten Riptide before, he can do it again. Remember, in the FMs he's not restricted by turn-based systems or absence of cheap tactics for the sake of a more interesting reading experience. But jeeze, this is a classic battle, eh? Been done god knows how many times...

*Sighs* I reffed this...and frankly, I must say NSG. Even if his regen can be countered, a regenerating organic beast can typically take more hurt than a mech, and NSG has proved very adept at disabling his foe...particularly those crystal missiles. Hate to stop Riptide, but I always thought NSG had a bit of an advantage...
