Hey, hey, HEY! Did anybody bother to read my last post, stating that the next move was mine?! Y'know, I consider it common courtesy to check the thread for any posts made too recently that weren't mine...
*sigh* Anyway, since folks seem to be eager to continue this...(BTW, PyroKaiju, since we're not playing by Enhanced rules, your second attack is not an auto-hit. Just a friendly reminder.)

From the relative safety of the earth below, Dirge uttered a silent growl as he sensed the distress of his ally above. It may have been dishonorable to abandon the humanoid to take all the retaliation of their enemies...but, he couldn't deny, these beasts' intentions spoke of anything but honor. It would bode even worse for them to allow their foes an opportunity to strike both of them at once.
...Still, if he continued to wait below the earth, they would continue to harass his comrade in arms. And this was the Colossi's land, which he was sworn to protect at any cost.
Taking a chance, the Sand Tiger cautiously poked its face up from the ground, shaking earth loose from its mask and opening its large eyes to take stock of what was happening above the surface. It spotted what looked like a seething cloud, a swarm of insects descending toward its humanoid ally, who lay cringing upon the sand from the last blow it had suffered. Following the path of the swarm's flight, Dirge identified the serpentine beast hovering in the air, associating it as the likely source. The saurian was sitting a distance away, hunkered within some sort of energy field...a barrier, most likely.
The serpent's attention was fixed on the humanoid, so the Colossus would take the moment to strike by surprise. Shifting the rest of his body upward, tucking and coiling it beneath him, Dirge tensed his ancient muscles, and then sprang into the air straight toward the enemy; it scarcely had time to see him fast approaching before he struck, seizing it by the throat with his jaws and bringing them both crashing to the ground, tumbling and writhing and kicking up a huge cloud of dust and sand. The swarm tried to retreat to protect their master, but found their way now blocked by the dust cloud billowing in the wind.
And their master itself was now confused, disoriented, and frantic as it tried to fend off its attacker; but the Sand Tiger had counted on this, as he skillfully shifted his body around the writhing Malubel's neck and constricted it tightly. His eyes glowed the color of fire, piercing through the cloud of dust and dirt as he came face-to-face with his foe...
'You!' a foreign, utterly malevolent voice boomed in his mind. 'Loathsome beast - you dare defy us?!'
...
Dirge's only answer was to smash the ugly monster's face with his own mask, again and again and again. He answered to only one voice from on high - and it wasn't the voice of this invader.
Now, with the creature in a daze from both the blows to the head and lack of breath, the Colossus released his body from around its neck, then took its throat in his mouth and slithered around then over the side of its limp body, and began to dexterously use both mouth and tail to form something of a knot in the serpent's body. Moving quickly, as he knew the cloud of dust that hid them would soon settle back to earth or be blown away in the wind, Dirge formed himself a fairly-sized target for his next maneuver, then slithered back, curled up and tensed his armored tail at his side, uncurled and whipped it out to slam powerfully into the knot in the snake's belly...

Also, you said you'd post "later", not "next"- and since you had previously posted the order you wanted, I got the impression that I was to reply when my turn came and that you were to reply when your's came. I'm sorry that I misunderstood you and posted out of your intended order. However, it wouldn't hurt to be a little more specific next time before you start accusing people of being rude and negligent...)

OOC: Also I don't believe it to be fair that it's my now move since I just finished making a post, and Dirge and M1 are on the same team thus given an unfair amount of attacks.. Dinohunter should be the one next, not PCZ.

I had also mentioned, in the post where I established our attacking order, that I was going to go next because I was picking up where PyroKaiju left off. Pyras was the one who started posting his move before it was his turn, and I was going to simply disregard his move for fairness' sake. Speaking of which... We're not taking an unfair amount of moves. If you'd paid enough attention to my post wherein I established our attacking order, I mentioned that I was going to pick up where PyroKaiju left off and ignore the extra move that you(Pyras) inadvertently made. I'll admit, maybe I could've made it a bit clearer that the next move was to be mine and Pyras' extra move wasn't to count...but I believe my point stands. You can check all previous messages of the page you're on now just by scrolling down below the box where you're entering your own message(by page, I mean the page of the thread; first page, second, etc.)...and if it takes you a while to finish and you want to know if anyone else has posted in the time you've been working, just open another browser window to look through the thread again.(I would say hit the Preview button, but that only shows the most recent messages of the thread if it's still on page one...) Now, I'm not saying you have to be like me and preview and spell-check all the time, and I have no problem at all with being eager to jump into the fight; but just exercising a little patience and attention to detail can go a long way in preventing confusion like this. I don't see any need to fix the posting order around, but if you guys think it would be prudent, go ahead 'n knock yourselves out. Just keep it fair and even, like it is now. Otherwise, it's still your move, Terran. |

Do not talk down to me like some RP battle guru.
Ultimately, it was your post that made things even more confusing than they already were. Rather than just wait for me to delete my post and continue from there, you went ahead and kept posting, ignoring it and trying to steer the game back on track all by yourself.
OOC: I am fine with that. Or we just have a mod erase everything up to before my latest post.

Pyras, I stepped up to get things back on track because nobody else was. This whole mess started when you posted out of line with what was supposed to be the established attacking order...and after I went ahead and decided to lay out the posting order and say that I'd pick up after PyroKaiju's attack, DinoHunter didn't get the memo and made a move of his own. The train was derailing too damn fast, and nobody else was stepping up to get it back on track. That's why I didn't wait for you to delete your attack: it was still there by the time DinoHunter made his move.
Okay, you got my message saying that the next move was mine...good for you. You could have informed DinoHunter of that since apparently he mis-read it...but it seems that you paid it no heed whatsoever, since your apology and explanation for your out-of-line move came right after he asked if the next turn was his.
You could have corrected him...but you didn't.(And before you say it, I'll admit I could just as well have done so myself...but I gave you guys the benefit of the doubt, hoping you'd know what was what.) So, when he went ahead and made his move, and nobody else was either able or willing to get things back on track...
You don't want me to talk down to you like I'm the drill instructor and you're Pvt. Noobsauce? Then march in line with the rest of the squad. It's that simple. I may not hold any position of power here, but I've been with the platoon at Toho Kingdom(of which this site is an extension, so it goes that their rules are the same) for over two years, and damn if I don't know how this kind of war game is played.
Now...we gonna get back to it, or what? You go ahead and ask for so many posts to be stricken from this thread, or even to start a whole new one if that's what you want...I just hope you've learned a little bit about the way things work here.

Jesus f**king Christ, calm the hell down. I understand that a posting order would have been needed, however, since none was actually given at the start, we just sorta went without it. Now, we can continue this match anew (as this thread, like I said, is cluttered), either by deleting all the posts here not needed or making a new thread with a posting order and be all happy-happy....or we can just not do it at all since it seems hard enough to make it work, plus I don't really like your attitude much, PCZ.

Lemme let you in on a little secret, PCZ: I've been roleplaying for over eight years. You can call yourself a freakin' god for all I care, but I've been doing this a helluva lot longer than you have, and I'll be damned if I let you talk down to me like that. You have absolutely no right to treat any of us as your inferiors. As someone who's grown to value good sportsmanship and mutual respect among RPers, I have to say that this whole thing just ticks me off. I know that things didn't go the way you would have liked them to- but theres two major flaws with that. 1. As neither a staff member nor a referee, you're word has no more weight than that of ours, and you have no authority to tell us what to do. and 2. You could have easily voiced your opinion in a clearer, calmer manner- instead of yelling and talking down to us, which wouldn't have made everyone angry or killed this thread. But you did. So... ...have fun playing with yourself. None of us have to put up with you if we don't want to, and since Pyro and I started this, we can also call it off. This match is officially over. My sincerest apologies to you, Pyras. I was really looking forward to roleplaying with you for the first time, and I'm sorry that this kept that from happening. Maybe we can arrange another match sometime and try this again. |
